Fingerpicking or fingerstyle guitar is used in virtually all styles of music and therefore is really useful to learn. Whilst fingerpicking guitar is most associated with acoustic guitar you don't need to learn fingerpicking guitar on an acoustic guitar as it can sound just as good on an electric guitar. Fingerstyle guitar is used in classical guitar, folk, bluegrass, rock, blues, jazz and virtually any style of guitar you can mention.
This is a series of carefully designed progressive guitar lessons that will carry you through from an absolute beginner on the guitar to a good level of proficiency in fingerstyle guitar. The GCH Guitar Academy guitar lessons are published to YouTube on a weekly basis just as if you were having private guitar lessons but with the advantage of having the guitar lessons exactly when and where you want them. This gives you time to practice the lessons on your guitar between lessons so that you get the most from each guitar tutorial and achieve your goals as a guitar player.
You will need some basic knowledge of guitar chords to do this course and basic knowledge of how to read guitar tablature so therefore I recommend you view the following 2 videos before starting on this guitar course.

Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s unboxing, tests and review. Gibson Les Paul 60s iced tea
Unboxing, tests and review of a Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s iced tea.
The Gibson Les Paul Standard is not a cheap guitar and it is unusual for me to review an expensive guitar as I have only ever reviewed a couple. Here in the UK they are between £2000 and £2400 which I'm sure you'll agree is quit a chunk of money but I think this guitar is actually worth the money. The Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s 2022 is a very well made and very nice sounding guitar that I would recommend if you have the money and want a guitar of this style.
For more information on Gibson guitars and the full range take a look at;
https://www.gibson.com/en-US/
I bought this guitar from Rich Tone Music (UK) who I have never used before and they were very helpful and answered my inquiries very quickly. To find out more about them here is their website;
https://richtonemusic.co.uk/
When reviewing guitars I concentrate on the guitar so you get a proper look at the guitar in detail. I also try to explain jargon to make the review more clear to new guitarists who are just learning about guitars. I don't normally review more expensive guitars like this one. But because the Gibson Les Paul is such an iconic guitar that is known of by so many people I couldn't ignore the opportunity to review the guitar.

This video is the unboxing, tests and review of the Glarry GTL maple necked electric guitar (Fender Telecaster copy). This is the cheapest electric guitar I have ever reviewed, but 'is it a waist of money?' or 'should you buy one?'. I concentrate my reviews on the guitar so that you can really see what you are considering buying and I am not paid by any of the companies mentioned in any of my reviews, so I don't hide the truth.
This is the cheapest electric guitar I have ever reviewed but it is by no means the worst. The guitar is a very good copy of the Fender Telecaster which is available in various colours and comes with a guitar bag, a guitar strap, an instrument lead, tools and a plectrum. In my opinion the maple neck and fingerboard on this Glarry GTL Telecaster copy make it very attractive and expensive looking. It's hard to believe they can make a guitar like this at the price they are charging . . it's a bargain.

This fingerstyle guitar lesson is part of a guitar course that teaches you how to play the guitar fingerpicking style. Whilst fingerstyle is most commonly used on acoustic guitars you can also play this style on an electric guitar or a semi-acoustic guitar. Hopefully if you watch each of the guitar lessons in this course and practice what you are learning you will become an accomplished fingerstyle guitarist.
Finger picking style guitar is used in virtually all styles of music and therefore it is really useful to learn how to play fingerstyle guitar properly. Fingerstyle guitar is used in classical, folk, bluegrass, rock, blues, jazz, metal and virtually any style of guitar you can think of.
This is a series of carefully designed progressive lessons that will carry you through from an absolute beginner on the guitar to a good level of proficiency in fingerstyle guitar. The GCH Guitar Academy guitar lessons are published to YouTube on a weekly basis just as if you were having private lessons but with the advantage of having the guitar lessons exactly when and where you want them. This gives you time to practise the lessons on your guitar between lessons so that you get the most from each guitar tutorial and achieve your goals as a guitar player.
You will need some basic knowledge of guitar chords to do this course and basic knowledge of how to read guitar tablature so therefore I recommend you view the following 2 videos before starting on this guitar course.

guitar machine heads and everything you need to know about guitar tuners
Everything you need or want and want to know about guitar machine heads, tuning pegs or guitar tuners.
This video demystifies the jargon associated with guitar machine heads. Here you'll get the answer to questions like 'what are staggered machine heads ?', 'what are locking machine heads ?', 'what are machine head gear ratios ?' and 'how do I replace the machine heads on my guitar ?'.
Every guitar has machine heads or guitar tuners and therefore this is a subject every guitarist should know about. One of the quickest, easiest and most obviously effective upgrades you can do to your guitar is to replace the machine heads and this video explains why. In this video I replace vintage style machine heads on a Donner Strat copy and I replace the standard Fender machine heads on a Fender Strat with locking, staggered Fender machine heads. This information will help you understand your guitar and show you how to replace or fix the machine heads on your own guitar. All the same principles discussed in this video about machine heads apply to both electric guitar machine heads and acoustic guitar machine heads.

Strat blind sound test. Can you hear the difference, genuine vs copy Stratocaster ?
three Strat blind sound test. Can you hear the difference in sound between an American Special Stratocaster, an American Deluxe Stratocaster and a Donner DST152 Strat copy ? Does the Donner DST152 sound as good as the much more expensive Fender originals. Stratocaster copy vs genuine Strat or real vs fake fender test.
I was surprised how well the sound of the Donner Strat completed with the Fenders, especially when you consider that the Fender Stratocasters cost between £1000 and £2000 and the Donner cost about £150. I did find that the tuners on the Donner are too sensitive and make it hard to get accurate tuning relative to the Fender Strats which tune very smoothly and solidly.
Original review of the Donner DST152 S; https://youtu.be/s8YtUm7cRMU
In this video I play some very simple tests on each guitar, where you can't see which guitar is being played. I will play several tests on each Strat and you have the chance to identify which guitar is A, B and C. Let's see if you can get it right.
At the end of the video I'll identify the American Special Stratocaster, the American Deluxe Stratocaster and the Donner DST152 and I'll explain why I did the tests I did.
Chapters in this video

04:12 test 2, a chord movement and sustain
