ATF "Expert" Struggles to Field Strip Glock
The acting Chief of the ATF's Technology Division appeared on CBS alongside ATF Director Dettelbach, and he struggles to field strip a Glock, struggles to assemble a Glock, and just all around does not seem familiar with the most common handgun in the United States and probably the world. This embarrassing display by the elite bureaucrats at the ATF cannot be mocked enough.

Highlights From Supreme Court Bump Stock Case Oral Arguments
Oral arguments were made in front of the Supreme Court to determine the fate of the ATF's bump stock ban that was enacted via a rule instead of any legislative action. The case, Cargill v Garland aims to override this bureaucratic gun grab and turn this into a legal accessory as bump stocks were for most of their history.

Supreme Court Hears Bump Stock Case: A Summary So Far
The Supreme Court is hearing arguments today on the bump stock ban that was written as a clarifying rule by the ATF, which ended up banning the accessory. The government argues these devices fall under the "ambiguous" definition of a machine gun, but it very clearly works in a way that does not violate the law. This did not stop the government from banning them with the ATF rule-making authority. The case may have further impact on rule-making, but may also end up being just a ruling on this one thing.

Building A Gun Room Part 2: Rifle Rack
In this video, I detail a rifle rack of my own design, showing the process I went through and what went into the decision-making process. I think it turned out pretty well as a nice storage option for old military surplus bolt action rifles, but there are things I would change if I were starting it from scratch.
There are lots of options and needs to factor into designing a gun room and deciding how to display milsurp rifles. You have a fairly limited number of set ups, but within that, lots of choices you can make in order to best store your firearm collection.

Gun Control Push Via A.I. Voices of Victims
Shotline is a new venture brought to you by gun control organizations such as March For Our Lives, and their latest push is via the voices of the dead. More specifically, they have generated AI recordings and use them to robocall politicians on behalf of this organization.
This is a new approach, but it feels tasteless and also has no real chance of changing anyone's mind. It's not real and you are giving complete ownership of the dead to someone.

Officer Shoots Own Vehicle After Acorn Falls On It
An officer in Florida fired into his own patrol vehicle - and at a detained suspect - after an acorn fell on the vehicle and he mistook it for a gunshot.
Doing several rolls, shooting the vehicle, yelling "I'm hit," and crawling away was all in a days work for this officer who later resigned.
Thankfully the suspect in the vehicle was not hurt, but the incident shows how bad some people can be at their jobs.

Kamala Harris "Supporting" the 2nd Amendment
Vice President Kamala Harris claimed to support the 2nd Amendment and not wanting to take away guns, and then proceeded to immediately call for gun control measures including an assault weapons ban, universal background checks, and red flag laws. All of these infringe on the rights guaranteed in the Second Amendment.

Hawaiian Court Cites "Spirit of Aloha" To Strike Down Gun Rights
A court in Hawaii has dealt a blow to gun rights in the state by citing the "spirit of Aloha" and that this clashes with things like the constitution, natural rights, etc. Somehow, they think citing this, blatantly ignoring Supreme Court rulings, is somehow reasonable or responsible as a court. This gun control activist set of judges are a complete clownshow.

What is the Beretta 1934-1?
What is the Beretta 1934-1?
R Guns has apparently imported something called the Beretta 1934-1 - which is an altered Beretta 1934 that had to be modified in order for it to be imported into the United States due to silly importation gun laws.
Is this a good thing? The Beretta 1934 served in the Second World War and for many years after this point. This military surplus pistol was permanently changed by having the barrel shortened.

Cryptid Hunting Loadout: The Yeti
A YouTube collaboration on the differing loadouts that are appropriate for hunting cryptids. I chose to focus on the yet, also known as the abominable snowman and various other monikers. So, what's best? Bolt action rifle, semi auto?

Biden Plans to Ban ALL Private Gun Sales: ATF Whistleblowers
President Biden has directed the DOJ and ATF to ban the private sale of all firearms, closing the supposed gun show loophole, by making it illegal to have a sale without involving the government and a background check - according to ATF whistleblowers working with Empower Oversight.
The gun grabbing President previously said that he did not have the authority to do any more when it comes to gun control, but the liberal gun control President is apparently going to violate his oath of office and do it anyways, a gross constitutional overreach that goes against the Second Amendment.

Resurrecting the Hudson H9? The Daniel H9
At Shotshow 2024, Daniel Defense released information on the Daniel H9, which is a redesign and updated version of the defunct Hudson H9.
Daniel Defense has ownership over many of the patents, but it is not simply a re-release of the firearm from several years ago.
They made some alterations. Various reviewers got their hands on it at shot show 2024 and in anticipation of the showcase, but for those saying the Hudson H9 is back, that's not really true.

Vetterli 1870/87 B Grade From Royal Tiger Imports
I purchased a B Grade rated Vetterli 1870/87 rifle from Royal Tiger Imports. This is one of several B grade rifles I have purchased from RTI. In the video, I unbox and show off this example of one from RTI.
RTI does have some controversy with their grading, where some people have received firearms in rather poor condition, but they have the best selection of military surplus on the market right now, so many people are willing to take the risk.

Palmetto State Armory's MP7 - the X57
Palmetto State Armory has several firearms in development, and they are showing off some of their options before Shotshow 2024. This includes PSA's version of the HK MP7 - the X5.7. The X57 is chambered in 5.7x28 and is built to resemble the popularized MP7 firearm.
This is part of a poll on what to focus on next, so no word on when these could possibly be released.

Palmetto State Armory has several firearms in development, and they are showing off some of their options before Shotshow 2024. However, there seems to be a consistent theme among half of what they are working on. It's a lot of their JAKL platforms.

Chinese Type 56 SKS Chest Rig
Going over a Chinese Type 56 chest rig for the SKS that was used by the Chinese military and also issued out to North Vietnamese forces. These were to be issued with the Chinese SKS, or Type 56, and had a long service and production life.
There is an AK-47 pattern chest rig also called the Type 56, but I will explore that in a later video.
The type 56 chest rig contains ten pouches with each pouch holding two stripper clips. Each stripper clip is loaded with ten rounds of 7.62x39, leading to a total loadout of 200 rounds.
This is the second iteration of chest rigs, and there are many more variations which were tailored to different rifles.
In the video I show the chest rig in more detail as well as identify how you can date your own chest rig, if you happen to have one.
This is a fairly common piece of military surplus on the American market and can be found at various places. It is an interesting piece of kit and history, though not as practical as other military surplus chest rigs that are out there.

Idiot Negligent Discharges Pistol in a Diner
I know this one could be considered mean, but the guy is okay.
A local idiot had a negligent discharge with his pistol while in a crowded diner, striking another patron. Thankfully, he is okay, but the moron nonchalantly picks up his pistol and walks out of the diner. Truly, someone who should be shamed for his idiocy and negligence.

Palmetto STG-44 Update
Palmetto State Armory has released a video updating on the release of their reproduction of the STG-44, the PSTG-44, as part of their Battlefield line, which will recreate classic firearms from conflicts like World War 2.
The update video is really more of a delay, as the most recent update slated a February 2024 release date and this one says it is some time in 2024, which is really just a delay. It does not really provide any other new information.
It was announced at Shot Show almost a year ago, so I'm certain this announcement was made to help reduce questions at the upcoming shotshow 2024 convention.

Exposing Gun Violence Archive Lies and Deceit
The Gun Violence Archive is becoming one of the most trusted sources for gun violence statistics by left-leaning politicians. This is because they categorize mass shootings different than any other group, which drastically inflates the numbers.
This inflation is the very reason for the organization's rise to prominence as it gives talking points and shockingly large numbers for Democrat politicians to shout when trying to legislate away Second Amendment rights.
However, their methodology is flawed both in mass shootings and other categories such as school shootings. They not only ignore commonly understood definitions but categorize data that ignores their own stated definitions.

NRA President Resigns - Everyone Liked That
Wayne LaPierre is resigning as President of the NRA, a tenure which has been plagued by his corruption, pursuit of personal wealth, and failure to defend gun rights on multiple occasions. Hopefully, the NRA will start to recover from this imbecile, but only time will tell. Gun control organizations are celebrating the change, even though he was an old man anyways and also did capitulate to pressure on multiple occasions instead of defending gun rights, so they may be in for a rude awakening if a 2A absolutist takes over.

RTI M1 Carbine World War 2 Magazines
Royal Tiger Imports currently has some World War 2 M1 Carbine magazines available, and I can't see that anyone else has posted a review, so I thought I'd put one up.
You cannot choose the manufacturer of these military surplus magazines, and from what I can tell, they will all be type 5 mags.
There appears to be a variety of manufacturers available including Rockola, Winchester, and Quality Hardware. These are listed as like new condition, but of the two I purchased one had a noticeable scratch on it.
Milsurp items like these are always hit and miss, but I am happy with my purchase.

Walther PPK/S - Still Relevant?
he Walther PPK/S was created due to a gun control import restriction that prevented the importation of the standard PPK. The company compensated by combining aspects of the Walther PP and Walther PPK to get past these import restrictions.
The DA/SA pistol is blowback with a single-stack 7 round magazine. It has a safety decocker with a nice, crisp single action trigger pull and a stiff double action.
A fun piece of pop culture related to the pistol carried by James Bond, but is it still relevant or a good option for concealed carry?

Enfield Drill Rifle From Centerfire Systems Unboxing and Review
Since they are still available on the market and at a good price, I went ahead and purchased an Enfield No 1 Mk3 Drill Purpose rifle that came with a grenade launching cup from Centerfire Systems.
These are deactivated, so they cannot be used to fire anything, but they can serve as a nice display or for a source of Enfield parts if you encounter a sporterized verison and want to restore it to military service condition.
This is the second such drill rifle I have purchased, so I also compare this one with my last one in the video.
I purchased this with my own money and have no association with Centerfire Systems other than as a random customer.

New Mexico Gun Control Group Caught Breaking Gun Laws
The New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence organization has been in hot water due to their gun buyback and gun destruction programs. As evident in their public postings, they are not destroying firearms as defined in law and are therefore violating the universal background check law that they helped pass within the state. New Mexico has been a hotbed of gun control activity lately after their Governor declared firearms a public health emergency and effectively banned the Second Amendment.
The NMPGV is apparently under investigation for their activities but it is unlikely they will face any legal consequences even though they have clearly violated the law.
