Circus Imperium was the third boxed game in the Renegade Legion series from FASA. Putting players as chariot drivers in the TOG, the first player to complete three circuits of the track would be declared the winner. Battletech Alpha Strike comes with a whopping THIRTEEN Mechs for both the Clan and Inner Sphere factions. Marialle Raddick in her Stormcrow. This is Clan Wolf-in-Exile Beta Galaxy and I stretched a bit painting this for the miniature showcase as I had to mix the white and the grey/brown to get colors I was happy with. I really like how this miniature came out for the showcase. Vandervahn Chistu was part of the Turkina Keshik as saKahn of Clan Jade Falcon, and while I should have some sort of falcon on the mech, I'm just not that kind of painter. Even keeping the color highlights simple in this case, I really like how it came out, even if it's a bit... I feel like I've painted so many Archers at this point, and so finding a paint scheme I wanted to do for the miniature showcase wasn't very easy. But I finally found Ted Atkins of Waco's Rangers and liked the paint scheme. So with my long fascination with Renegade Legion, even though I didn't play when it was new, I want to give the books, such as the Centurion Vehicle Briefing, a look through so that people understand what was there. This week I'm featuring some special mechs for the Miniature Showcase. I had some extra mechs that I was having difficulty finding pilots for so I instead reached out to my friends and asked them to pick a mech and tell me what faction they would like to see them in. I have since titled these the "Totem Mechs" and in my head, the pilots are my friends, so even if they aren't there in person, I can still have them at the table. Walker is the friend I've known the least amount of time, but he's been fun to get to know. When I put out the request for the Totem Mechs, Walker wanted to be opposite Chris due to their long friendship. Since Chris ended up in the Jade Falcons, it only made sense to put Walker in Clan Wolf, and since I was NOT going to do another Beta Galaxy, I picked Theta Galaxy as his unit. And that was purely due to my own pride. I'm not sure why I finally decided to talk to him, but I'm grateful I did. Brash and... "aggressive", but fiercely loyal. I'm glad to call him a friend, even if he's very boring in paint selection. Chris's choice was the only one that I restricted as I knew he would choose Clan Wolf Beta Galaxy. So he suggested Jade Falcons just for the irony, and I chose Omega Galaxy as I hadn't done it yet. Roy is one of those friends that even as he's moved around the world, you just can't forget how good a person they are. He wanted to get my take on a Crusader from the 2nd Legion of Vega in House Kurita to compare to his own paint job.
