Two of the biggest names in Cable News were handed their walking papers today by their respective outlets. CNN and Fox News did away with Don Lemon and Tucker Carlson in two of the most head scratching decisions you are ever likely to see happen on one single day. While Lemon's walk of shame was funny in its back-and-forth spats in the aftermath, it's a sign that CNN doesn't understand that the only reason anyone cared about their failing platform was when Don Lemon said something mind-numbingly dumb. Well, their final Lemon-shaped decision is inline with that attitude, so perhaps they already knew that. Tucker Carlson on the other hand, was doing a favor for Fox News by being on their platform. The man is the only relevant host in the space. People tune in for the news, but viewers tune in for Tucker. Without him on the channel, you do not have Fox News supporters, you have viewers.
