Meet Our Newest Pack Member - Reef the Belgian Malinois - Pack Introduction Part 2
#belgianmalinois #dogs #dogmata
Merry Christmas!
On September 13th, a Belgian Malinois was found in the ditch outside of our veterinarian's clinic with both of his legs and pelvis broken. Luckily, Dr. Carla Hubbard is very well experienced in orthopedic surgeries and she was able to repair his severe fractures and save his legs. After nearly two months of recovery time at the clinic, one of the vet techs grew attached and attempted to keep him. Fortunately for us, he behaved like any Malinois would behave as a pet for two weeks after two months of limited activity. After acknowledging a herding breed with the character of a working breed is not an ideal pet, our home was the next in line.
On December 2nd, we picked up the Malinois and brought him home. This series of videos will demonstrate how we introduced an adult male Belgian Malinois into our personal pack and instilled our leadership from the very beginning with Reef.
Part Two is here! Watch how we introduce Reef into our personal pack then allow him to interact while on leash.

Touring Critter Care's New State of the Art Veterinarian Clinic
Three and a half years after Hurricane Michael, Dr. Carla Hubbard's new, state of the art clinic is about to become a reality. Dr. Hubbard is hoping to have the clinic opened by the end of January to the first of February 2022. The opening of this new clinic will bring a level of veterinary care that is much needed in our area.
Big shout out to Robyn M. and her husband, John, who have been instrumental in helping Dr. Hubbard throughout the devastation of Hurricane Michael and the construction of the new clinic.

Freya the Doberman's First Step Towards Motherhood
Freya left the pack to go on her own adventure near the end of July. Why? To get laid by a champion stud. We've been wanting to breed for the last five years and have made several attempts. Unfortunately, the males were all too inexperienced (or fat) to get the job done. With Freya nearing seven years of age, we knew this would be our last (maybe second to last) chance to find a worthy stud. Just when we were about to lose hope and have Freya spayed, we found Von Hohenhalla Dobermans and their exceptional stud dog, Colter. Not only does Colter possess a remarkable pedigree, Logan & Nichole of Von Hohenhalla Dobermans shared our same canine philosophy. They are LEADERS for their Dobermans, not just lovers.
Colter completed his end of the deal...Now we'll see if Freya lives up to our hype.
Check out Colter and the rest of Logan & Nichole's pack at www.vonhohenhalladobermans.com.

A Church Without Freya (Uninterrupted Dogo VS Dogo)...
Several weekends ago, Gringo & Darla got a chance to duke it out 1 on 1 while Emma ran around wildly. Gringo & Darla still enjoyed themselves, but I think Emma was missing an important element of her Church. Freya's details will be shared soon...
