THE UNTOLD TRUTH 💚 TED CASSIDY
Large and loveable - Lurch was the Addams Family butler, but ironically Ted Cassidy didn’t want this to be the role that he was known for! Ted Cassidy hated that Hollywood had typecast him as a monster - it felt very similar to the bullying he had faced as a child. So let’s find out how Cassidy became so successful despite huge odds stacked against him.
Cassidy actually got his start on radio and was one of the first people to interview eyewitnesses in the aftermath of JFK’s assassination. This wasn’t Cassidy’s only experience working in radio though - he later recorded a song called “The Lurch” which inspired a 60s dance craze.
And if you’re lucky maybe I’ll teach you how to do the Lurch! I’m your host – Nostalgic Nick! If you enjoy this deep dive, please make sure to give it a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel so you never miss an episode! Let’s Lurch on in!

THE UNTOLD TRUTH 💚 YVONNE DE CARLO ( LILY MUNSTER )
This one is really special! Known as the most beautiful woman in the world, Yvonne De Carlo managed to completely remake herself as the ghoulish, hilarious Lily Munster, her most famous role. The Munsters are making the rounds in the cultural zeitgeist once again, after a very unsubtle (and spoiler-heavy) nod from Marvel’s recent WandaVision miniseries. Now a whole new generation can get in on the fun—and discover what makes this delightfully frightening family so exciting to watch. I’m Nostalgic Nick from DoYouRemember and today, we’re going to look
at the life of Yvonne De Carlo— a prolific actress with over 100 television and film credits including her legendary role as Lily Munster, the matriarch of The Munsters. As always, we would appreciate a like and subscribe. Without further ado, let’s “run away screaming” into the video:

Addams Family Officially Ended After This Happened
They’re creepy and they’re kooky— and so are these facts. It makes sense that a family of monsters would have some skeletons in their closet. However, the ones that weren’t friends with the members of the Addams Family, are pretty surprising.

ABBA 🌟 Then and Now 2021
There’s just something about ABBA, that can turn anyone into a Dancing Queen! This Swedish music sensation dominated the '70s charts in a way literally no one else did and would influence pop music for decades to come. ABBA was composed of 4 members which were actually two couples… and their music was lush and full of energy and emotion, you can almost hear the sparkle of the production.
ABBA not only dominated the airwaves but they even made it to Broadway and eventually the silver screen with a successful movie franchise. They are currently ranked as the third best-selling group of all time only slightly behind queen and of course the Beatles. In the year 2000, they even turned down a billion-dollar deal to reunite. That’s right, a BILLION. That’s why we’re so excited that after 35 years of being inactive, the group reunited in 2018 and has recorded brand new songs to add to their legendary roster.

THE UNTOLD TRUTH 🌟 ANDY GIBB
Andy Gibb had it all: Money, Talent, Looks, and most of all, the love of his brothers, The Bee Gees. He never was able to quite able to escape some of the demons that haunted him. The BeeGees musical legacy is unquestionably monumental. They are without a doubt one of the biggest bands of all time. And with HBO’s recent release of their new Bee Gees Documentary “How Do You Mend A Broken Heart”— the quintessential late '70s Rock band seems to be back in the spotlight once again (not like they ever really left).
While we can easily recognize the lasting impact the Bee Gees had on rock music, the disco, Andy passed away just a few days past the age of 30—but the impact of his music lasted far longer. If you enjoy this video, be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss our next nostalgic video.

ADDAMS FAMILY CAST 💚 THEN AND NOW 2021
You know exactly what it’s time for - they’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious, and spooky… but under their pale skin, they were a loving family. With parents who adored each other, and extended family welcomed, The Addams Family aired from 1964 to 1966 and competed with the show The Munsters. The show is memorable for amazing sets and costumes, not to mention the catchiest opening theme ever, complete with snaps, composed by Vic Mizzy who also created the great Green Acres theme. And although this supernatural show hasn’t gone away, with numerous spinoffs and specials, it was that original cast who superbly matched their characters.
I’m your host Nostalgic Nick, and today we’re reuniting with the Addams Family cast and seeing what they got into after the two incredible seasons of gothic fun. If you enjoy this video, please be sure to subscribe to our channel for even more spooky fun. But for now, let’s revisit the strange, deranged, Addams family.
Carolyn Jones - Morticia Addams
John Astin - Gomez
Jackie Coogan - Jackie Coogan
Ted Cassidy - Lurch
