Deer In Nature

These deer are seeing a cat for the 1st time. The reaction is to protect themselves by scaring the animal away

Even though we're in April there's still lots of snow on the ground.

Friendly deer come for some food.

It has been a long snowy Winter and today is just another snowy day. We are in March now and hopefully soon the snow will start to melt.

In the middle of Winter I normally get deer from the forest area come into town looking for food. These particular deer are very skitsy and afraid of me.

We have received a lot of snow this Winter and these 2 deer must have been having trouble getting food out in the bush. They have come into town looking for food

With this many deer on the property you're always gonna have a little bit of conflict. At the 2 minute mark look at the deer in the back by the trees.

Wild deer come into town looking for food. My bush on a hill provides shelter from the snow so the deer are able to dig down to the roots of trees and plants and eat them in the winter.

When we get lots of snow it makes it difficult for the deer to get food. Thanks to the trees in my backyard they prevent the snow from landing in the bush area. The deer love my bush all seasons but especially in the Winter where they can use it as shelter and make it easier to get access to food.

I believe these are twins that were born in the summer and they've come back to visit in the Winter.
