Belonging to AT&T, Telstar was part of a multi-national agreement among AT&T, Bell Telephone Laboratories, NASA, GPO and the National PTT to develop experimental satellite communications over the Atlantic Ocean. Telstar 1 launched on top of a Thor-Delta rocket on July 10, 1962. It successfully relayed the first television pictures, telephone calls, and telegraph images through space and provided the first live transatlantic television feed.

Re-entry Of Apollo 13 On Earth
Apollo 13 was the seventh manned mission in the American Apollo space program and the third intended to land on the Moon. The craft was launched on April 11, 1970, at 13:13 CST from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, but the lunar landing was aborted after an oxygen tank exploded two days later, crippling the Service Module (SM) upon which the Command Module (CM) depended.
