ROSETTA: Landing On A Comet
Rosetta was a space probe built by the European Space Agency launched on 2 March 2004. Along with Philae, its lander module, Rosetta performed a detailed study of comet 67P Churyumov–Gerasimenko. During its journey to the comet, the spacecraft flew by Mars and the asteroids 21 Lutetia and 2867 Šteins.

Preview Of CASSINI's Grand Finale At Saturn (04/04/2017)
The Cassini spacecraft has been orbiting Saturn since 2004. The mission is known for discoveries such as finding jets of water erupting from Enceladus, and tracking down a few new moons for Saturn. Now low on fuel, the spacecraft will make a suicidal plunge into the ringed planet in 2017 and capture some data about Saturn's interior on the way.

NASA Honors Steven Hawkings's Legacy
NASA is honoring visionary physicist Stephen Hawking, who died at his home in Cambridge, England, early Wednesday morning. Acting NASA Administrator Robert Lightfoot noted Hawking’s role as a “passionate communicator who wanted to share the excitement of discovery with all,” adding that his “impact cannot be overstated.”
“Stephen’s breakthroughs in the fields of physics and astronomy not only changed how we view the cosmos, but also has played, and will continue to play, a pivotal role in shaping NASA’s efforts to explore our solar system and beyond,” said Lightfoot.

Mars INSIGHT "Cubesats" Will Be First Micro Satellites At Another Planet
When NASA's InSight Mars lander launches for the Red Planet on Saturday (May 5), it won't be traveling alone. Two small spacecraft, nicknamed "Wall-E" and "Eva," are hitching a ride as the first cubesats to visit another planet. The twin cubesats are tiny spacecraft of a type whose design became popular in the 2000s as miniaturized computers increased the craft's capabilities. While they don't have all the backup systems and capabilities of bigger spacecraft, cubesats are useful for applications such as communications, tracking shipping or performing Earth observation. Until now, all of them stayed close to our home planet.

GAIA's Revolution In Astronomy (Euronews)
Astronomy is undergoing a revolution with the release of precision data on 1.7 billion stars in our galaxy from the Gaia space telescope. We head to the historic Observatory of Paris and ESA's ESTEC base in the Netherlands to find out more. It's fair to say that science has been waiting for centuries, or even millennia for such a detailed survey of the Milky Way, and right now star-gazers are swamped with fresh, high-quality data that they can use to answer every question about the galaxy they ever wanted to ask.

What's Behind NASA'S Chamber A?
A thermal vacuum chamber is a vacuum chamber in which the radiative thermal environment is controlled. Typically the thermal environment is achieved by passing liquids or fluids through thermal shrouds for cold temperatures or through the application of thermal lamps for high temperatures. Thermal vacuum chambers are frequently used for testing spacecraft or parts thereof under a simulated space environment.

7 Earth Sized Planets Found In Nearby Star System TRAPIST-1
Some 40 light-years from Earth, a planet called TRAPPIST-1e offers a heart-stopping view: brilliant objects in a red sky, looming like larger and smaller versions of our own moon. But these are no moons. They are other Earth-sized planets in a spectacular planetary system outside our own.

The Final Frontier Of Space Telescope Hubble
The Hubble Space Telescope is a space telescope that was launched into low Earth orbit in 1990, and remains in operation. Although not the first space telescope, Hubble is one of the largest and most versatile, and is well known as both a vital research tool and a public relations boon for astronomy. Space Telescope.

NASA PSYCHE Mission: Journey To A Metal World
Psyche is both the name of an asteroid orbiting the Sun between Mars and Jupiter — and the name of a NASA space mission to visit that asteroid, led by Arizona State University. Join the Psyche team to explore why this mission was selected for NASA’s Discovery Program, how we’ll get to the asteroid, what we hope to learn from Psyche, and the importance of scientific discovery.

Fly Into Jupiter's Great Red Spot With JUNO
The Great Red Spot is a persistent zone of high pressure, producing an anticyclonic storm on the planet Jupiter, 22° south of the equator. It has been continuously observed for 188 years, since 1830. Earlier observations from 1665 to 1713 are believed to be the same storm; if this is correct, it has existed for at least 350 years. Storms such as this are not uncommon within the turbulent atmospheres of gas giants.
