AMD's RX 7900 GPUs Temperature Issues Explained
AMD’s latest RX 7900 XT & XTX cards have major temperature issues & here’s why.
Many reviewers have noticed a significant gap between the average GPU temperature and the GPU hotspot reading, with deltas as high as 30°C.
Pretty funny since AMD mocked Nvidia for their 4090 power connector issues & now they’re having problems themselves.
Apparently, uneven cooler contact may be the source of the issue, as laying the case on its side has been shown to significantly reduce the temperature of the GPU.
That & of course following this channel for more tech news because that always helps.
And unfortunately if this is the case, the only way the cards could be fixed would be to just completely take them apart & re-mount the cooler.
Or possibly having to redesign the entire cooler mounting system.
So for right now I’d say stay away from AMD’s own cards & just go with 3d party options.

Fortnite fined $520 million for predatory design practices
Full video: https://youtu.be/dvp5sfAV44A
Video transcript:
Fortnite maker Epic has been fined $520 million by the FTC.
The fine has been issued over a range of business practices, including alleged violations of children's privacy and tricking users into unintentional purchases.
The settlement also includes changes to Epic's interfaces, such as adding friction to the purchase process to avoid accidental payments;
A new instant purchase cancellation system;
Turning off voice chats for minors as well as following this channel for more tech news.
Okay maybe not that last part, but let me know what you think in the comments.
This case also highlights the FTC's focus on deceptive design, with the regulator seemingly zeroing in on the manipulative power of digital interfaces.

Why you shouldn't buy Ryzen 7000 series, even with the price drop
Full video: https://youtu.be/KBeZUHeJMxM
Video transcript:
Ryzen 7000 CPU prices are falling & here’s why I still wouldn’t buy them.
Now while the higher end of the 7000 series is quite compelling & genuinely great; the lower end just still doesn’t have quite enough value.
The 7600X is available for roughly $250 & while that’s a lot better than the MSRP there are still other compelling options.
There’s the 13600KF that’s a bit more expensive, but destroys it in multithreaded performance & you can also use cheaper DDR4 memory.
And there’s also AMD’s last-gen the 5700X is about 10% slower in multithreaded, but a lot cheaper & on a cheaper platform.
And I’m gonna go more into the specifics of the platforms in the longer version of this video on YouTube.

Microsoft may bring ads to Xbox and PC – Is it worth it?
Full video: https://youtu.be/7hmN8B3TS7s
Video transcript:
Microsoft could be bringing ads to Xbox & PC.
According to a recent survey, Microsoft is considering offering a lower subscription fee for their game pass in exchange for ads.
So you would still have your Game Pass Ultimate for $15 per month, but there might also be an option for a much cheaper plan supported by ads.
So maybe it would cost $3 per month & each time before you’d start a game you would have to watch an ad.
So the question is, would you be willing to put up with a few ads in exchange for a cheaper plan?
Let me know in the comments & please follow for more tech news.

Windows Users Beware: These Updates Could Ruin Your Day!
Full video: https://youtu.be/LyBoxvXGG4s
Video transcript:
Microsoft has confirmed issues with Windows 10 after installing recent updates.
Those include visual glitches and reduced system stability, with some features like the taskbar and file explorer becoming unresponsive.
In addition, Microsoft has acknowledged issues with the Tuesday Patch update for Windows 10 22H2, including a blue screen error and issues with the Start menu and Task Manager.
Just like we’re gonna have issues if you don’t follow this channel, like c’mon bro, just do it.
Updates breaking random features is nothing new, but some of these also came about from just a simple security patch, you know not even adding any new features.
Which really makes you wonder if Windows will ever be completely bug-free at this point.

I Made an AI do my College Homework
Full video: https://youtu.be/26MiRUI7gzY
Video transcript:
So I asked an AI to do my college homework and it did.
First I asked it to write me some Python code & well it did & it worked great.
Later I told it to do the same thing again, but this time so write all the code without using any external libraries which basically means that you have to write everything yourself, & well it did that wonderfully as well.
Then I asked it to write me a 1-minute video script of an article, which it did & that video’s gonna be uploaded tomorrow, so follow if you don’t wanna miss it.
And I also told it to make a diary entry from the perspective of Obi-Wan Kenobi, super impressive stuff and if you’re interested the full video is available on my YouTube channel, thanks for watching!

Apple's Shutting Down This Controversial Feature
Full video: https://youtu.be/i55TM-hrpLw
Video transcript:
Apple is shutting down the feature that scanned all of your photos.
So about a year ago, Apple rolled out a feature that would scan all of your iCloud photos for child sexual abuse material also known as CSAM.
And they got criticized by many privacy & security experts for basically violating everyone's privacy.
Of course, the intention behind the feature was to protect children, but you can see how such a surveillance capability could be abused.
So now they’re scrapping the whole thing & instead focusing it on communication apps.
So for instance, only a photo that you were gonna send to someone would be scanned.
Let me know what you think about this, was it good or was it bad & please follow for more tech news.

Early Look at AMD's 7900 XT/XTX
Full video: https://youtu.be/BkmSwra3Rko
Video transcript:
Here are some of the first benchmarks showing off AMD’s new 7900 GPUs.
In 3DMark’s Time Spy benchmark the 7900 XT & XTX seems to perform a few percent worse than the RTX 4080.
However in Fire Strike the XTX actually beats the 4080, so I’d recommend waiting 2 more days till more benchmarks of independent media become available.
But if you’re after the absolute best-in-class performance, there seems to be nothing from AMD that could match Nvidia’s 4090.
And it seems there won’t be many of these cards available as Europe, Africa & Asia will have to split a pot of about 10,000 XT & XTX cards.
And they won’t be available in China at all because the cards will have a “Made in Taiwan” sticker on them.
Thanks for watching & please follow for more tech news.

Xbox Games Will Cost More Because Of This
Full video: https://youtu.be/GgAa5JXCH0Y
Video transcript:
Microsoft is raising prices on new first-party games for Xbox seris X & S.
They are gonna go up from $60 to $70 & Microsoft says this is due to just how complex these games have gotten to produce.
And well don’t forget about inflation either so I guess $10 really isn’t all that bad.
Not to mention that Sony raised their prices in the same way about 2 years ago.
And are also considering raising them even higher for 2023.
The price increase also makes a lot of business sense for Microsoft as well as that should help push more gamers towards Game Pass.
And if you haven’t already please consider following the channel for more tech news.

Nvidia's Lowering Prices Of RTX 40 Series
Full video: https://youtu.be/s-DYyEA9bL0
Video transcript:
Nvidia is lowering prices on their RTX 40 series GPUs.
Now you might think this is so that the cards will be at a more competitive price against AMD.
But no, this is probably just because the Euro has once again gained some more value against the dollar.
So the prices are going down by a staggering 5% and only in Europe.
However next week AMD’s launching their RX 7900 series GPUs, which will hopefully force Nvidia to lower their prices by a bit more.
Just like there will be a bit more tech news in your life if you follow this channel.

Why You Shouldn't Buy A Smart Camera
Full video: https://youtu.be/l9IpYExNXtw
Video transcript:
Here’s why you shouldn’t buy a smart camera.
Anker’s Eufy security cameras have ben caught spying on their users, practically all the time.
In fact they were bragging & trying to educate their users on how important it is to have security cams that save their footage locally instead of the cloud.
Which is exactly what they were supposed to do.
But no as it turns out they were secretly uploading all of their footage to the cloud.
And not only that their security for that footage was so bad that pretty much anyone could access & watch it because privacy just doesn’t matter at all these days.
But what does matter to me is keeping this channel going, so please consider following for more tech news.

Microsoft Breaks Task Manager While Trying to Fix W11
Full video: https://youtu.be/hM_4YtMHM30
Video transcript:
A new Windows 11 update has broken the task manager while trying to fix previous issues.
So two weeks ago I mentioned how a Windows 11 update has caused games to run slower because it just magically opened up GPU debugging.
And well while Microsoft has fixed that issue with their newest update.
They have also broken the task manager, because hey it wouldn’t be Windows 11 if it just like worked right?
The issue makes some of the text within the program unreadable if you’re using a custom color scheme.
Which is just hilarious because it seems that when Microsoft patches one thing another issue just springs up somewhere else.
So at this point I wonder, is there anyone out there that has never had any issues with Windows 11.
Oh and please follow for more tech news.

CPUs Will Now Come With a Subscription Plan
Full video: https://youtu.be/ELqoWHOgVoQ
Video transcript:
Intel’s new CPUs will now come with a subscription plan.
Now currently this will only come out for server CPUs, but as we all know the server features usually trickle down to the normal consumer market.
Currently Intel’s gonna be charging a subscription if you wanna unlock some acceleration features that you technically already paid for when buying the CPU.
And it’s gonna have some extra security as well, because we can’t have that for free now can we?
Unlike these tech news which are free so please follow for more.
The scary question is where does this lead, I mean are you gonna have to pay a subscription if you wanna overclock your CPU or even use all of its cores?
I mean Marcedes has already released a subscription that you have to pay, if you want your new car to go as fast as it can mechanically.
