The Conservative Counselor

There is a major problem in the field of mental health. The organizations are not supporting evidenced based practices but jumping onto the bandwagon of politically popular gender mutilation therapy to the detriment of clients. It is not a counselor's job to solidify a client's identity that would be an imposition of values.

Race is a hot topic today with new slights and offenses discovered almost constantly. Who's buying it? Is racism one-directional? Can you be racist if you are black? asian? hispanic? or only white? Are white people less than, evil, and savage like Nick Cannon says? I firmly stand on the principled belief that all lives matter, that we are created equally, all children of God, and no one group is more universally privileged or oppressed than another by virtue of skin, as we all experience the commonalities of what it is to be human.

Some celebrities are celebrating a childfree life and selling it as preferred. We're closing in on record numbers of childless women, some by choice and some circumstance. Why are so many people not having children? Watch me react to a segment from Just Pearly Things where the panel discusses children, society, and modern women's mindsets.

Another sweet and shallow idea of the left. Equity is a theory full of holes and yet is being shoved full force through culture as some sort of vague answer for specific issues. A truly terrible idea. Let's talk about it. What did I miss? What do you think about equity?

Carpe Diem: Seize the day. Do you pay attention to the media that you are feeding your mind? What is the focus of your time and energy? Check in to how you are living your life and if it is in accordance with your conscience and core values. Here is a bit of positivity in the face of a negative world. Choose the paths you want to walk down and make efforts to move in those directions. Believe in yourself.

Did you know medically assisted suicide is available in ten states and multiple countries? Canada is offering the service unsolicited and removing restrictions on access. What do you think about assisted suicide? Should the government and companies be in the business of selling access to death? Where do you predict this slippery slope will lead?

My thoughts and reaction to the Michael Knowles and Bronte Remsik abortion debate. The pro-abortion argument is full of hypocrisy and dishonesty. The slogan of the hour is that no one can use your body without your consent... is there no obligation to provide care?

A long time ago I could understand and even agree with the pro-choice position. Abortion activists have lost the plot and to be honest, the mask slipping has made it a lot easier to realize the principled stance of the fundamental principle of the right to life and the equal inherent value of human life. If we can't value life in the womb, that translates to the rest of society and diminishes the value of human life in every way. I've been radicalized by the pro-abortion movement to believe in no exceptions for abortion (miscarriage and D&C are not abortions, and neither is treating the mother). I think we need a social and cultural change more than a political solution. Value mothers, value children, value life, and support and value fathers having rights with their children in addition to responsibilities.

My reaction to Dr. Phil's Cultural Appropriation episode and much of the nonsense that ensued. Amid the idiocy were some reasonable and rational opinions. It's worth the watch. What do you think about cultural Appropriation? What is a part of your cultural identity, chosen or by tradition?

This accidental Christmas movie is one of the best life-lesson films. Everything is skewed by the way we frame what we see against what we think we want. Sometimes, most times, we have more than we realize and with a shift in perspective, massive life transformations are possible.

I'm a fan of Tom McDonald. Love his music and story, and Nova is incredible as well. These talented individuals surround themselves with other incredible people and they all work hard to make top notch creations not backed by the media machine. It's refreshing to see.

Do you know what the preamble of the US Constitution says? When it says promote the general welfare, how do you think the government should do that? What if it said provide instead of promote? What is the welfare level they should provide? What would be considered a necessity? Who would it go to? What would be the consequences of that level of government control?

Since we are asking basic questions, let's start with "What is a human?" When does life begin? Common sense would say that life starts at the beginning of development and that humans produce humans. An unborn child is not a clump of cells. Sanitizing language in order to make something more palatable is a major red flag. If you can't justify something without manipulating language, it may not be worth justifying.

The Film Theorists inadvertently opened a can of worms. What happens when someone's imagination distorts reality and is imposed on others? What are your thoughts regarding gender theory in culture and the parallels in entertainment? Is Elmo based or a bigot?

Detransitioned Chloe Cole, just 18, is exposing the religion of gender affirmative therapy and the disastrous effects on minors. This video is my reaction to her story.

Groundhog's Day with Bill Murray isn't just a hilarious cult classic but a deep dive into human nature and the process of change. Change occurs incrementally for better or worse and small daily shifts become defining aspects of your life. The greatest change you create, and the most power you can exert in your life comes from within. You have an incredible capacity to change the world around you, through first changing yourself. Immediate compassion without consideration for consequences can end up as cruelty. Lowder with Crowder discussed compassion from conservatives. Compassion is used as a guise for bad political policies, it's a manipulation of the heart strings as they grab for control and true compassion must be helpful long term. Conservatives must stand for virtues and values again and empowering individuals to dictate the outcomes of their own lives. No government is going to legislate solutions for a cultural crisis of immorality and hopelessness.

My response and summary of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. A book about censorship and culture. Prophetic or the inevitable cycle of humanity? An excellent example of mass formation psychosis.
