Plasencia Reserva Original Cortez Cigar Review
Plasencia Reserva Original Cortez Cigar Review - This 5.75x56 figurado features a dark brown firmly packed wrapper with a dry, thin feeling satin texture, large pigtail cap, almost closed foot roll and a damp, sweet nutty tobacco aroma like a cigar factory. The first light reveals a flawless draw with thick plumes of mild smoke showing notes of a slight pepper, zingy wood and nutty vegetal, all through the long textured finish. The first third transitions nicely to a medium body with a soft smooth sweet caramel and leather with just a hint of pepper. Burn is fast but perfect putting out plumes of smoke. The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes with the burn slowing, and a muted cocoa joining the draw flavors with the nuttiness taking over the finish, dropping the pepper tingle. Ending at 55 min to the HOT nub, the last third showed no changes.

Romeo y Julieta Corona Cigar 25th Anniversary Toro Cigar Review
Romeo y Julieta Corona Cigar 25th Anniversary Toro Cigar Review - This 6x52 stick features a dark chocolate firmly packed slightly tooth oily wrapper with a large double cap and rich, pungent earthy cocoa aroma. First light reveals a flawless draw with thick full bodied smoke showing smooth creamy notes of a deep earth, dark cocoa and wood, with just a touch of heat through the retro and finish. The first third comes down a tick to medium-full, tempering the slight heat at the end and adding a bakers spice to the mix. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes with notes going to a syrupy sweet cocoa and earth with a definite nutmeg joining in, all of which stick through the long full finish with perfect construction. Ending at 1:15 the last third gets hot at the nub keeping all the same flavors with a pronounced zinginess joining in through the finish.

HVC Hot Cake Laguito No. 4 Cigar Review
HVC Hot Cake Laguito No. 4 Cigar Review - This 4.2x52 stick features a dark chocolate, thick, firmly wrapped oily, toothy feel with a triple cap and pungent sweet campfire aroma. First light reveals a good draw with full bodied rich thick smoke showing notes of a heavy deep slightly sweet earth with a bold pepper texture, flavor and spicy heat building on the long finish. The first third mellows the pepper a touch and brings up the sweetness, both on the draw with the earth and the finish moving the spice to a cayenne heat. 30 minutes at the 1/2 way point the deep earth shifts to a sweet zingy leather that holds all the way through the finish, dropping more of the pepper along the way, all with perfect construction and a solid ash. Ending at 50 minutes to the nub the last third remained the same.

Padron Executive Maduro Cigar Review
Padron Executive Maduro Cigar Review - This 7.5x50 stick features a very firmly packed, oily, toothy wrapper with a single cap with a very faint, soapy aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with mild-medium notes of a slick, oily whispy smoke giving a sweet, soft cedar taste and a clean finish. The first third burns very quickly, with the body at a solid medium and the finish much longer. Notes are complex with a very smooth, musty peppery sweet cocoa, slight coffee and lingering black pepper taste without the texture or spice. The 1/2 way point comes at 25 minutes just bringing the coffee note up to espresso levels, taking over as the primary flavor. The last third burned much slower and put out thicker richer smoke, up to a medium-full body, ending at 1:10 with the still a rich blend adding a cinnamon and perfect construction.

Tatuaje Havana VI Verocu Blue No.1 Cigar Review
Tatuaje Havana VI Verocu Blue No.1 Cigar Review - This 6.25x52 stick features a dark tan satin wrapper with a slight oil sheen, fragile feel, triple cap and faint nutty aroma. First light reveals quite a few wrapper cracks opening up but not effecting the draw at all, producing medium bodied thick rich smooth smoke with notes of a slightly sweet woodiness and building cayenne heat and pepper through the long finish. The first third burns perfectly with no changes. The 1/2 way point comes at 50 minutes showing very little change, just the spice tempering a bit and moving forward to the lips on the finish. Burn is very slow with a smooth creamy presentation of flavors overall. Ending at 1:35 the last third continued the long burn with great constructions, holding the same notes and adding a slight strength kick past the band point.

EPC Allegiance Sidekick Cigar Review
EPC Allegiance Sidekick Cigar Review - This 5x50 stick features a dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a sharp box press, firm pack, toothy satin finish with a slight oil sheen, large double cap and sweet earthy aroma. First light reveals a very open draw with thick medium bodied notes of a slightly sweet cedar and smooth earth with a zing and tiny pepper buildup on the finish. The first third goes to a deeper but still smooth sweet earth with more pepper bite and an oily spice on the lips. The 1/2 way point comes at a quick 25 minutes still with flawless construction, adding a robust coffee note to the mix especially on the now long finish. Ending at 50 minutes to the nub, the last third dropped the cedar, going to a coffee and light earth core with a slight vanilla on the finish, also dropping the pepper and spice. Cohiba Serie M Corona Gorda Cigar Review
Cohiba Serie M Corona Gorda Cigar Review - This 6.5x48 stick features a neat and tidy dark brown, firmly packed wrapper with a satin feel, small pigtailed triple cap closed foot and faint nutty aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with good smoke production showing a medium bodied sweet, zesty zingy nut, pepper and growing spice through the long finish. The first third keeps to a medium body adding a complexity with a raisin and vanilla note with the spice mellowing just a bit but still growing through the long finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 45 minutes with notes shifting again, dropping almost all the spice and most of the pepper, with the sweet raisin replaced by a neutral cocoa on the draw. Ending at 1:40 the last third brought back the vanilla, making the cocoa a milk chocolate. The pepper and spice also ramped back up, making for a medium-full body to the end.

Tatuaje Tuxtla Lomo de Cerdo Cigar Review
Tatuaje Tuxtla Lomo de Cerdo Cigar Review - This 5 1/8x52 stick features a firmly packed dark chocolate wrapper with a buttery soft oily feel, pigtailed triple cap and faint milk chocolate aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with good medium-full smoke production showing a very heavy pepper and earth combo with a bit of cherry sweetness while the retro is a pepper bomb. The first third opens the draw nicely no longer needing a double puff for full flavor. The mix is more complex with a sweet bread, baking spices and easy with the pepper down a good big notch, all staying through the long finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes with notes the same, the ash dropping in a single chunk and perfect construction. Ending at 1:05 the last third still burned perfectly with the same great complex blend.

First light reveals a flawless draw pouring out thick, rich smooth medium-full bodied flavors of a glycerin sweet cayenne and pepper combo with a real zingy pop of texture and smooth long finish. 10 minutes in the first third continues the perfect burn with the addition of a slight smooth creamy coffee note joining all the rest. The last third kicks my ass bringing the strength to at least medium-full passing the body, which keeps the same notes.

First light reveals a flawless draw with silky smooth medium-full bodied smoke showing a subtly sweet coffee and cocoa on the draw with a soft pepper joining in through the long finish. The first third burns fairly well not even but not needing a touchup. The 1/2 way point comes at a slow 40 minutes with notes almost the same, just adding a beautiful smooth leather to the mix, a perfect blend with the sweet cream note. CAO Cameroon Perfecto Cigar Review - This 4x48 stick features a firmly packed dark chocolate wrapper with a satin feel, large double cap and rich musty cocoa aroma. First light reveals a plugged draw that takes some work to get going, then produces a full bodied dry black pepper with a grassy note and mint on the long finish. Danli Honduras The Clown Double Maduro Cigar Review
Danli Honduras The Clown Double Maduro Cigar Review - This 6x52 barberpole stick features twin maduro wrappers with a firm, satin feel, triple cap and sweet cocoa and hay aroma. First light reveals A snug draw with heavy, dark damp notes of earth and mustiness with a heavy black pepper flavor but not texture or spice, on the finish. The first third opens the draw a good bit with better smoke production, up to a medium-full bodied experience adding a neutral cocoa to the body and little bit of spice on the tail of the finish. Unfortunately it's rolled the cheap way with one of the stripes overlaid, creating an uneven burn as it follows a line. The 1/2 way point comes at 20 minutes with notes about the same but down in body. Unfortunately it has even more construction issues, splitting both wrappers as it sits, looking like the binder is expanding as it heats up. Putting it down at 35 minutes, it simply never performed right and got washed out and hot past the band.

The first third needs a quick touchup with a wonky burn but delivers a still perfect draw with thick smoke showing notes of a creamy sweet bread through a fairly long finish of the same. The 1/2 way point comes at a fast 25 minutes with the body down to medium and the flavors joined by a slight caramel sweetness, with everything lasting on the finish just to the next draw. The last third ends at 1:05 minutes to the hot nub with notes adding a sweet musty coca with a medium strength joining from the band.
