As I wrote within the Music Video itself, at a certain point within The Beatles, while George Harrison still didn't write the Most Songs, he began to write the Best Ones...and, While My Guitar Gently Weeps is a Perfect Example of this Truth, as George imprinted his Deep Spiritualism on these Brilliant Beatles Albums, thru his Allegorical Songs, that made us think of the Christed Ones who came before us, and taught us not to just Look, but to Actually SEE... In many ways, This is Not America (by David Bowie and Pat Metheny, two very Big Steely Dan fans), was the Follow up Song to the Title Track from the 1976 Steely Dan album, The Royal Scam, where Donald Fagen and Walter Becker went Out ot their Way to show Everyone, who could See and Hear the Truth in Plain Sight, that the World they were Living in was a Complete Lie, a Royal Scam of Epic proportions, where Up was Down and the Truth was now Lies... In the Song, key subject after subject was broached by Donald and Walter, laying each bare as Lies of the Corrupt System we were Living, where EVERYONE in positions of Authority were Rotten Minions, willing to 'Look the Other Way', or Push specific Narratives that enhanced this Insanity, just as long as they got their 'Rewards' for such Criminal Betrayal...
