Then alongside it we have the Tesla. It’s powered by three electric motors, and these combine to produce 1,020hp and 1,420Nm of torque. But even though it’s up on power, it’s also well up on weight compared to the GT-R, weighing in at 2,539kg! So the Tesla is a fair bit more powerful, but it’s also a whole lot heavier! We’ve got our hands on a classic Toyota Land Cruiser from 2002, and it’s about to face off against a GSXR 1000 K2 in a series of off-road challenges! On the face of it the Land Cruiser should walk it, right? Well, this is no ordinary super bike! It’s had a load of mods added to it so it can tackle this off-road course, including the addition of off-road tyres and armour plating underneath! So let’s see how the two compare. Starting with the Land Cruiser, it’s powered by a 4.7-litre naturally-aspirated V8 that can produce 235hp and 434Nm of torque. It’s equipped with four-wheel drive, and it also has low-range mode and a central locking diff. As for the bike, it’s naturally a whole lot lighter than the Land Cruiser, weighing only 198kg. Some absolutely amazing new cars have been unveiled over the past few weeks, and we’ve pulled together the very best new announcements in this video! So let’s take a closer look at what’s been released. Earlier this week Porsche lifted the lid on the Taycan Turbo GT. It’s the most powerful Porsche production car ever released, pumping out an incredible 1,100hp! That’s more power than a Tesla Model S Plaid, and amazingly, it’s claimed it can hit 60mph in just 2.2 seconds! There’s a catch, though - it’ll set you back at least £186,000. That’s around £90,000 than the Plaid! It’s also been confirmed that a new Bugatti hypercar is on the way! We don’t have any details on the name yet, or the power figures, but one thing we do know is this all-new V16 engine sounds absolutely epic! We also know that this new Bugatti will come with hybrid tech, so you can bet it’ll pump out more than the 1500hp produced by the Chiron’s W16! An all-new AMG E53 was also unveiled just this week. This will also come with hybrid tech, which in this instance will see an electric motor mounted inside the gearbox! This will combine with the 3-litre turbocharged straight-six engine to produce 612hp and propel the E53 to 60mph in just 3.8 seconds! So they’re some pretty special cars, but there are so many more recently unveiled, including an all-electric Charger Daytona, a couple of Rivian EVs, and the all-new ID3 GTX & ID7 GTX Tourer! Since first unveiling the T-Roc just 6 years ago VW has sold more than 112,000 T-Rocs in just the UK alone! In fact, in just 2023 alone, more T-Rocs were sold in the UK than the combined number of Polestar, Genesis, Bentley, Alfa Romeo, Jeep & Subarus sold in the same year! Well, Mat’s about to take a closer look to see just what makes the T-Roc so popular. Some things are fairly obvious, such as the design. It may be a pretty standard crossover SUV, but it comes with a good few design cues to help it stand out. It’s also pretty well built, so even just opening and closing the doors helps the car feel solid. What’s more, its small size means it’s pretty easy to drive around town, and helps even the more cautious driver squeeze through smaller gaps and into small parking spaces. However, it’s not all rosy. For example, while the entry-level T-Roc isn’t too expensive, costing around £28,000, the price can easily rise up into the mid-£40,000! The car we have here, for example, isn’t even the top-spec car, but with a couple of options added it costs north of £41,000! When you consider what other family-friendly cars you can pick up for that price, we’re not sure if they offer the best value for money! And while it’s ok to drive in town, once you hit a dual carriageway or country road, the pick-up and responsiveness of the gearbox and engine leaves a little bit to be desired. It’s the lightest car here, at 1,980kg, and the cost of the car new coupled with the tune comes in at around £143,000. Alongside it we have the AMG. It tips the scales at 2,045kg, and it’s the most expensive car here, costing around £154,000! Then finally we have the Porsche. Normally its 4-litre twin-turbo V8 would produce 550hp, but this has now been increased to 740hp - an eye-watering 190hp increase! It’s an all-new MPV from Lexus, and Mat is about to find out if this luxurious people carrier has what it takes to compete with top-class saloons such as the Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series. When it comes to the design, there isn’t much to say about the rear or sides. It comes with smatterings of chrome about the place, along with a rear spoiler, but otherwise, this people carrier is relatively boxy and nondescript. However, once you step around to the front, you’re greeted by Lexus’s trademark HUGE grille! This helps make it super imposing on the road, and it also comes flanked by high-tech matrix LED headlights. The interior quality for the driver is pretty decent. There’s lots of leather throughout the cabin, as well as a large infotainment screen and digital dial display. There’s a fairly decent amount of interior storage, too, and the seats are incredibly comfortable. However, step into the back and you'll find that comfort is absolutely next level. We’ve got our hands on the range-topping Takumi edition, which comes with just two business class-style seats. There’s a huge screen that spans the length of the cabin, coupled with several speakers, including two huge speakers built into each door! The seats can recline fully flat, window shades are built in, and there is absolutely loads of storage! This is truly the way to travel in first-class style on the road. When it comes to the engine choice, there’s only one. It’s a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine that comes with a CVT gearbox as well as an electric motor. There is the option to add an additional electric motor to offer four-wheel drive, but interestingly, both the single motor and dual motor offer 250hp! The Lexus LM isn’t cheap. So let’s get into it… Starting with the design, there are a couple of notable changes on the outside compared to the latest edition. Around the back, you’ve got new tail light designs and an updated bumper, while along the side there are new alloy wheel designs, and in the M Sport edition we have here you’ll also find black surrounds on the windows, coupled with black roof bars. Around the front, it’s similar to the rear, with new headlights and an updated front bumper. Couple these changes with the hard-edged creases along the side, and we think the X5 is a proper good-looking car! Step inside and it’s a traditional BMW, with soft-touch materials found throughout the cabin. The X5 now comes with BMW’s latest curved infotainment screen and digital dial display, and there’s loads of storage to be found throughout the cabin. The seats are also pretty comfortable as well. There are a couple of engines to choose from. Two 3-litre straight-six diesels deliver either 300hp or 350hp, while there’s also a 3-litre straight-six turbo petrol coupled with an electric motor, that can put down 490hp. However, the range-topper is the M60i, which has a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can deliver 530hp. The new X5 starts from around £69,000, rising up to around £94,000 for the range-topping edition. So for starters, let’s take a look at how this car differs from the standard Boxster that it’s based on. Up top it comes with a more aggressive bumper, a big front splitter and a carbon fibre bonnet. The car we have here also has the Weissach pack fitted to it, so it comes with loads of exposed carbon across the car. Head around to the back and you’ll find the traditional Porsche GT exhaust layout, as well as a fixed ducktail spoiler. Let’s face it, it looks fantastic! Head inside and you’ll find a pair of carbon fibre bucket seats, some fabric door handles, and Alcantara on the steering wheel and gear stick. The centre console and dash design is traditional Porsche, however the Weissach pack brings a few more differences to the standard car, including more exposed carbon throughout the cabin and Alcantara across the upper dash. It’s American manufacturer Fisker’s first foray into all-electric cars, while also being the manufacturer’s first SUV The question is, can this family-friendly EV compete with the market leaders in its class? When it comes to the design, it’s fair to say it’s pretty stylish. It has sleek headlights and taillights, with a Fisker logo in the centre of both that lights up! At the front, there’s a wide air intake that stretches across the length of the car and helps give it a bit of an aggressive look. The side profile is also pretty sleek and adds to the car’s overall smart exterior. Step inside and the cabin is largely covered in soft-touch materials (as long as you don’t reach too far down). In the centre of the dashboard is an absolutely huge infotainment screen which is used to control a lot of functionality - although thankfully it still comes with physical climate control buttons! Annoyingly though it doesn’t come with either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto! Thankfully though, unlike in a Tesla, you also get a digital driver's display. There are two battery options available - a 73kWh and a 106 kWh. The entry-level car comes with a single motor and a range of 290 miles, while the longest-range edition comes with dual motors and the ability to reach up to 440 miles. The entry-level car also comes with the ability to produce 275hp, while the range-topping car also includes a ‘Boost Mode’, and the ability to put down 564hp. Step inside and the cabin is full of soft-touch materials along with a huge infotainment and digital dial screen. When it comes to performance, the car we have is the 520i. It comes with a 2-litre turbo petrol engine that sends power to the rear wheels only, and it puts down 208hp. It comes with a price tag of around £64,000. Then we have the E-Class. It’s probably the most stylish, luxurious-looking car from the outside. There are even some trim options available to make it look like the S-Class! The interior is also easily the most luxurious of the three cars. There are soft-touch materials everywhere, and even the opportunity to have three screens in the front! The seats are also super comfortable. The car we have here is the E300e, which comes with a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, and it’s also a plug-in hybrid, so it comes with a small electric motor too. It can put down 313hp and this edition costs £77,000. Then we have the A6. It had a small facelift last year, but it’s still been around for absolutely ages! It still looks pretty smart on the outside, although we would rather choose one of the other two instead. The interior is nice, with soft-touch materials throughout, but it’s easily the most basic of the three cars here. Then again, given the age it’s also the cheapest, so it’s not too bad a deal. The car we have here also comes equipped with a 2-litre turbocharged engine along with an electric motor, so it can put down 299hp. It’s also the only car here that comes with all-wheel drive! Starting off with the design, this thing is absolutely plastered in carbon fibre! There’s a carbon fibre bonnet, and carbon vents across most of the front end. There’s also an updated bumper and splitter compared to the standard Range Rover. The car also comes with optional carbon fibre alloys and a little side skirt along the car. Around the back, you’ll find quad tailpipes, but all-in-all the car still pairs elegance with sporty styling well. Step inside and the SV is just as luxurious as the regular Range Rover. There’s leather throughout the cabin, as well as Alcantara on the roof lining. The SV also comes with carbon fibre-backed sports seats as well as a ceramic gear selector, and of course all of the usual luxuries like a fridge in the centre console and soft-close doors. Under the bonnet, the 5-litre supercharged V8 has been swapped for BMW’s glorious 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 - the same V8 from the M5 CS, no less! As a result the SV now puts down 635hp and 750Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and the car can hit 60mph in just 3.6 seconds. It’s a cheap and cheerful electric car that isn’t currently on sale in the UK. The question is, even with a £16,000 price tag, should you consider it over other small electric competitors? When it comes to materials, it’s fair to say the Spring isn’t exactly the most robust car. The doors seem relatively flimsy, and when you step inside don’t expect to find any soft touch, high-quality materials here! This sporty coupe SUV has had a mid-life facelift, and Mat’s about to see whether the changes over the previous model are an improvement! For starters, let’s check out the design. We’ve got our hands on the M60i edition, which means it comes with several design tweaks over the standard X6. Around the back, there’s a set of exaggerated exhausts and a mini bootleg spoiler, while along the side we have some aggressive side skirts and the carbon fibre trim door mirrors. Up front, there are some new light designs, and the aggressive upgrades continue with a new bumper. Step inside and the X6 is a seriously nice car to sit in. The dash has been redesigned over the previous edition and now comes with a huge curved infotainment and digital driver display. Annoyingly a lot of the car’s functions are now controlled through the screen, but we can forgive it given how nice the cabin is to sit in. When it comes to engine choices, the X6 is available with internal combustion engines only - no hybrids, and no electric editions here! The entry-level is a 3-litre straight-six turbo petrol, while the range-topper is a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 like we have here. This can deliver 530hp, although annoyingly this isn’t an increase over the previous X6 M50i’s performance stats. The New BMW X6 starts from around £75,000, but if you want to go for the X6 M60i, it’ll set you back around £116,000! So is it really worth it?! It’s a new super-imposing 7-seater from South Korea, and Mat’s about to find out if it can compete with class-leading all-electric SUVs like the Tesla Model X and BMW iX! For starters, just check out that design! The EV9 is oh-so imposing, with a chunky, squared-off design stretching from the front to the rear. We love the blocky wheel arches and the new alloy designs - they’re definitely giving this car a real cyberpunk feel. The headlights & taillights also look great, and we love the black window surrounds & matching roof bars. The blue paint just tops it off, too! Step inside and the EV9’s cabin is well laid out. There’s a big infotainment & digital dial screen, and thankfully there are several physical and haptic feedback buttons. Interior quality is ok, but if you reach down a bit low you can expect to find some scratchy plastics! Thankfully though we don’t mind as there’s loads of interior storage, and there’s even the option to go for a six-seat set-up in the back. When it comes to batteries and motors, the entry-level EV9 come with a single electric motor that can produce 203hp. The GT Line edition that we have here comes with dual electric motors and the ability to put down 385hp. Both cars come with a 100kWh battery, and while the entry-level has a range of 350 miles, the GT Line can only manage 315. So it all sounds great, but all this quality doesn’t come cheap! In the future, this all-electric saloon is set to replace the VW Passat. The question is, is it a worthy replacement? Well, let’s take a closer look. Starting with the design, it looks relatively smart on the outside. There’s a sloped tailgate around the back with some cool taillights and a full-length light bar. Along the side, you’ll notice the contrasting roof and flush door handles, while around the front there’s another full-length light bar running between a set of matrix LED headlights. So it’s smart, but not exactly the most exciting! It’s a similar theme on the inside. There’s a large infotainment screen on the dash, although annoyingly the majority of the climate control functions are managed with it. There’s a small digital driver display that holds just enough information for the driver, and the cabin is generally made of soft touch and nice quality materials. Don’t lean too far down, though, or you’ll find some cheap-feeling plastics! The entry-level ID7 comes with a 77kWh battery pack which is good for a range of up to 384 miles. It also comes with a single electric motor which can deliver 286hp. In the future, there’ll be an 86kWh battery available which will be good for a range of up to 435 miles, and a dual-motor edition will also be released. As for the price, the entry-level ID7 starts from around £51,500, and the car we have here for this video comes in at over £58,000! So is it worth it? Or would a Tesla Model 3 be a smarter choice? Step inside and the similarities to the previous gen continue, but thankfully it’s still a pretty luxurious place to sit. There’s a fair bit of storage throughout the cabin, and the seats are super comfortable. What’s more, bar a few small areas, pretty much everything is coated in soft-touch materials. There are four engines to choose from with the new GLS. At the start of the range, you can pick a 3-litre straight-six turbo petrol or diesel, and these deliver 380hp and 370hp respectively. At the top-of-the-range is the AMG GLS 63, which is packing a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can put down 612hp. All cars come with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive.
