The BEST Artificial Intelligence Political Cartoons!
Artificial Intelligence threatens us all --and no one knows better than political cartoonists how AI already threatens the jobs of journalists and cartoonists and may soon threaten to take over the world! In our new Caglecast we discuss our impending doom with four of the best editorial cartoonists who discuss their own AI cartoons:
JEFF KOTERBA is possibly our most popular cartoonist, he's drawn for over thirty years for the top newspaper in Nebraska, his cartoons have flown around the world on the Space Shuttle Discovery, and he’s been struck by lightening.
RICK MCKEE was the cartoonist for decades for the Augusta Chronicle in Georgia; he draws the comic "Pluggers" and we've syndicated Rick for 20 years. Rick generated the first syndicated political cartoon that was drawn by AI, that we discussed on Caglecast number SIX --go take a look at that on Caglecast.com.
RIVERS is our brilliant, anonymous and very conservative cartoonist, who has a background in tech.
And we have the brilliant self syndicated, altie cartoonist, ANDY SINGER who draws the environmentally friendly and tech savvy cartoon panel "No Exit" that appears in dozens of newspapers and appears on Cagle.com and PoliticalCartoons.com where you can license the cartoons for your own publication!

Stormy Daniels & TRUMP & Hush Money! Political Cartoonists on the Tryst in CARTOONS!
We dive into the Stormy Daniels and Donald Trump affair, discussing hush money, potential indictment, and the role of political cartoonists in today's climate. Joined by award-winning cartoonists Pat Byrnes, Bob Englehardt, and Bill Day, we analyze various drawings related to the scandal and discuss how Trump's base continues to support him. We also touch on the art of anonymous cartoonists, the challenges faced by political cartoonists in reaching younger audiences, and the importance of delivering a message through cartoons. Don't miss this fascinating conversation on the power of visual storytelling in shaping public opinion!
As we all know, Trump had sex with porn star Stormy Daniels while his wife Melania was at home, pregnant, and Trump later paid $130,000 in hush money to Stormy to keep her quiet about their tryst, Trump's attorney Michael Cohen arranged the payment and later turned on Trump, providing evidence to a grand jury in Manhattan that is expected to indict Trump any time now.
Our three great cartoonist guests are --
Pat Byrnes who is best known for his cartoons in the New Yorker, he draws all kinds of gag cartoons for other magazines, he did a comic strip for years called Monkeyhouse, and he's an advertising illustrator and he's won a bunch of awards.
Bob Englehart who was the cartoonist for the Hartford Courant in Connecticut for 35 years, his cartoons have appeared everywhere and he's won a bunch of awards too.
Bill Day who drew for decades for the Memphis Commercial Appeal and the Detroit Free Press and he has won a ton of awards.

Tucker Carlson! Political Cartoonists Attack and Defend Tucker!
Tucker Carlson is off of Fox News, but he's still on our minds!
We've got cartoons about tanned testicles, Swanson TV dinners, Tucker's lies from the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit discovery, snuggling up to Putin and denying the violence at the January 6th insurrection --we've got a Cartoon Tuckerfest!
Cartoons are a great insight into the news, distilling complex issues into images. We have the best cartoonists to explain what's behind the cartoons, giving their witty insights on the Fox News and Tucker, who we now know were lying the whole time. This is a great Caglecast --don't miss it!
Our three great cartoonist guests today are:
GARY McCOY, who draws two newspaper comics strips, The Flying McCoys and the Duplex in addition to drawing editorial cartoons for our CagleCartoons.com syndicate and lots of other stuff. ED WEXLER, who is a brilliant caricaturist who worked for 30 years as a creative director at Disney. For 12 years he was a regular cartoonist for US News & World Report magazine. Ed is known for his caricature cover art for The Hollywood Reporter's Academy Awards and Emmy Awards issues also for 12 years. And ADAM ZYGLIS, who is the Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist for The Buffalo News in New York.
The discussion turns into an argument with our conservative cartoonist friend, Gary, about whether the January 6th insurrection was even an insurrection at all, or just a pleasant day for tourists in Washington. We also have a close examination of Tucker's testicles and Tucker's relationship with Vladimir Putin.

Clarence Thomas Political Cartoons!
Today the cartoonists bash Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas! Justice Thomas has recently been embroiled in ethics scandals about very expensive vacations, undisclosed gifts and purchases of property paid for by his buddy, billionaire real estate developer, Harlan Crowe, leading to speculation that Thomas has been selling his votes on the court.
We also remember Thomas's confirmation hearings, decades ago, where he was accused to sexually harassing Anita Hill. Thomas' wife, Ginni has also been controversial as a conservative activist and conspiracy theory believer, who lobbied the White House and state legislators to overturn the presidential election, to turn the election over to VP Mike Pence to presumably decide the election for President Trump on January 6th.
And there were the accusations of workplace sexual harassment made against Thomas by Anita Hill during his confirmation hearings.
We have FOUR great cartoonists today:
From Maine, RJ MATSON is the cartoonist for Roll Call in Washington DC for over 30 years. For many years, RJ was the cartoonist for the St Louis Post-Dispatch, he's been a cartoonist for The New York Observer, The New Yorker, Mad Magazine and he's won lots of awards.
From FLORIDA we have Taylor Jones who has been drawing cartoons for decades for the Hoover Digest. For many years he was the cartoonist for El Nueva Die in Puerto Rico and for US News & World Report, and he has a butterfly garden in his backyard.
Monte Wolverton, from Washington State draws wonderful, quirky, liberal cartoons that we syndicate everywhere. Monte is doing a crowd funding campaign now at Cagle.com/Wolverton, please take a look. It is tough to make a living in editorial cartoons with newspapers dying, so the support of fans can make all the difference in keeping artists like Monte drawing. You can make a difference. Visit Cagle.com/wolverton
and Ed Wexler in Los Angeles Ed was a Creative Director at Disney for thirty years. He was a regular cartoonist for US News and World Report and drew the star studded caricature covers for the Hollywood Reporter’s Emmy and Academy Awards issues for many years.

Left vs Right! Political Cartoonists Argue Through Their Cartoons!
Liberal and Conservative Cartoonists face off in today's Caglecast!
We're joined by two of our most conservative cartoonists, Gary McCoy who also draws two comic strips, "The Duplex" and "The Flying McCoys"; and Rivers, who draws anonymously and joins us with a disguise and an altered voice.
And we have liberal cartoonist, Pat Byrnes who is best known for his cartoons in the New Yorker, he draws all kinds of gag cartoons for other magazines, he did a comic strip for years called Monkeyhouse, and he's an advertising illustrator who has won a bunch of awards.
And I'm Daryl Cagle, your liberal cartoonist host --so we're evenly divided today.
This Caglecast is something of a clash of ideas. I'd like to hear from everyone if they like the cartoonists bumping heads or if they prefer to have giggles and discussions of what pen nibs and programs we use to draw. Please leave a comment, and please subscribe and like wherever you watch or hear this podcast!
And visit Cagle.com to see all the new cartoons as they happen. Visit PoliticalCartoons.com to license cartoons for your own publications.
