Habakkuk Chapter 1 Verses 1 Through 9
In come the Chaldeans, namely Nebuchadnezzar God's vessel for judgment upon the nations. The level of violence and brutality was turned up considerably under Neo Babylonian rule, which was more than likely unexpected by the inhabitants of the world.

Habakkuk what was going on the backdrop
Why was it such a surprising thing for God to tell Habakkuk to prophesy of the rise and take over of the Chaldeans via Babylon their seat of power? The Babylonians with help from the Medes sacked Assur the spiritual seat of the Assyrian empire and then Nineveh the very seat of Assyrian power. To this point, Babylon was a proxy kingdom with puppet rulers put in place by the kings of Assyria and posed no credible threat.

Exercise your mind
Calling all The soldiers in Gods army not to be cliché but the battle is on. Whatever holds you back, whatever hinders you lets all pray together and get to work. I have in my few short years on this planet not seen so many people with so many questions on eternal issues. Being representative's of God We should definitely be at the forefront of this war and battle for truth.
Jonah Chapter 4 Verses 3 Through 11
In a Seemingly odd turn of events God has a conversation with Jonah. In this conversation the mercy and long suffering nature of God is on full display.
Jonah Chapter 4 Verses 1 Through 3
Why did the ninevites repent so seemingly quickly? why was Jonah so convinced that they would repent thus causing him to flee? I asked these questions and pose some possible answers in this episode.
God Will Have His Way
God often brings the wisdom of the world low with very simple thing's. In this episode I make a loose connection to the books of Jonah referencing Balaam from numbers chapter 22. Also in this episode I bring to bear a current topic in the big picture of a greater biblical idea.

Jonah so far some of my thoughts
These are just some of my fleeting thoughts loosely connected through the book of Jonah thus far.
The judgment of Assyria
we see in the book of nahum what happened to Assyria after they went back on their word to God and returned to violence. Could it be that this would have been the fate of Assyria roughly 100 years earlier had they not listened to Jonah. How differently would things have played out? and what happened to Assyria eventually? int this episode I cover these question's.

Jonah chapter 3
Jonah goes to the city of Nineveh and preaches to the great city. The people in an odd turn of events (humanistically speaking) repent without hesitation. This seems to be a stark contrast from what is going on in Judah and Israel, and seems to be very similar to the gospel being accepted by gentiles more readily than the jews during the time of Christ.

Reasonable Faith
It is sometimes thought that belief in the Bible and its instruction is without reason. Jordan Bernt Peterson is a Canadian clinical psychologist who has been making the rounds of philosophical debate among the prominant thought circles of this age. He has been increasingly interested and intrigued by the Bible and its validity. Now let it be known that he could denounce the Bible and everything tomorrow, and that would not change the solid foundation upon which the Bible stands( It is true from cover to cover). I do this only to encourage those either young and or weak in their faith that what you believe is not foolish, what you trust is not unreasonable, And the God you serve isn't imaginary.

So I have decided to enter the realm of articles particularly concerning the biblical. I can not promise you these articles will be any good. I have no idea if my thoughts will translate well to written form, or if I can properly articulate my thoughts in that way. What I wish to do is to permeate as many spaces as I possibly can across the internet with biblical reasoning.
The Mystery of The king of Assyria during the time of Jonah
Who was king of Assyria during the time of Jonah. In this episode I cover this with some historical context to the best of my ability. My thoughts on this are not to be misconstrued as dogma I do however believe I am correct on this matter.

Why Does any of It Matter
What is it about peripheral issues that take us so far off the mark. is it that we loose focus, is it that these things drain and steal our attention. in This short episode I explore this Idea through the lens of my limited understanding.

C.S LEWIS
There is a spiritual battle that rages on in the mind of people. C.S Lewis did a very good job in the screw tape letters theorizing what that battle looks like.

Jonah Chapter 2
Jonah chapter 2 contains within it the tail of the hypocrisy of humanity. We want for others the opposite of what we want for ourselves, We want mercy while proclaiming judgment on all others. This chapter also highlights our willingness to recognize Gods mercy in the face of our sin and disobedience, while calling others into condemnation.
The Book Of Jonah Why Nineveh
There are ancient accounts of floods and gardens thought to be legend. Some Of these Stories like the flood have their versions across different continents and peoples. The core of these accounts seem to stay the same no matter how they are told, is this a coincidence? I say no.

The Book Of Jonah Chapter 1 Verses 4 Through 5
Was Jonah fleeing out of fear or hatred? in this episode I explore that question. Was The Ship Jonah boarded to take his journey of rebellion one of the mighty ships of tarshish? in my opinion that's most likely the case. In The Writings of The Greek Historian Herodotus he proclaims that there was a civilization that existed outside of the pillars of Hercules which is thought to be the rock formation resembling pillars in Gibraltar. This would mean it is very possible and even likely that tarshish wherever its location was somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean

The Book Of Jonah chapter 1 Verses 5 Through 9
Has it ever dawned on you that through the book of Jonah account he was the only Hebrew. The mariners were gentile, probably from Tarshish the people of Nineveh are gentiles, citizens of Assyria. So the big question that remains, is the Old Testament just about the Hebrew people? I believe the answer is obviously no.

Jonah Why Flee To Tarshish
Jonah The Prophet the son of Amittai of Gathhepher per 2nd Kings 14:25 tries to get as far away from Assyria as possible. There is debate on where exactly Tarshish was located and I get into a little bit of that history on this episode. There is no doubt that Jonah was disobedient in violating Gods instruction,I would however caution piously looking down on his decision without considering the circumstance. This does not absolve his sin but definitely gives me pause and strips me of any pride or notion that I would have been more obedient then Jonah.
