What does this mean exactly? and is this misunderstood?

Who was Theophilus, this question may or may not be relevant to our understanding. It is often said that the book of Acts could be renamed The Acts Of the Holy Ghost. We see much activity in this book and more context concerning some doctrines that confuse many.

In this I share my thoughts on the inspiration and canonization of scripture. Its definitely possible that I am incorrect in some of my assumptions, the one thing I'm 100% solid on is my trust in the scripture.

What Nation Will Escape Judgment Left to Themselves Given to Sin

How did the children of Israel go from being feared by the nations around them to being overthrown ?

When we sin we have to accept judgment if and when it comes.

Can you blame God when judgment comes after you have sinned against him? Will your judgment affect only you?

Where will I go if I turn from God who has a better way?

After the emotional plea the Author of Lamentations gets to the point of seeing that there is still Hope in the Lord.

Lamentations is a very serious book, if you pay attention you will catch the emotion surrounding the destruction of the southern kingdom. This Book in many ways is a warning to us all.

In his dialogue Jeremiah tries to comfort Judah, Ultimately he comes to the conclusion the God is no respecter of persons and his judgment once initiated will not be avoided.

Jeremiah cries as a result of viewing the destruction of the southern kingdom of Judah, knowing it could have all been avoided had they heeded the warning of God.

God deals a judgment blow to Israel that sees even the tabernacle violently destroyed.

I will admit to you while reading through the book of lamentations I see myself. It's not through the eyes of the author that I see myself but through the actions of the children of Israel.

We see the reasons for the issues that have befallen to the children of isreal. As God Promised them erlier on in their establishment, they violate God and find themselves low in the presence of their enemies .

I will not proclaim to understand relationships with any degree of mastery, but I will say Hollywood and entertainment has given us a false and unbiblical picture.

Zedekiah goes his own way, and the people defile Gods temple bringing about their judgment and captivity.

It would appear as though the sorrow of the downfall of the southern kingdom of Judah has hit Jeremiah pretty hard. In the first two verses he poses the question how did we get here, and where are the people we confided in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qi1VOR_sOYc&t=124s

Wrapping up the book of Jude we find more characteristics of false teachers. God has equipped us greatly through his word with all the tools we need for success.

Judgment will be served and, God does and will deal with sin
