Canada Freedom Convoy Shuts Down Ambassador Bridge Traffic in Windsor
Protesters with the Canadian trucker ‘Freedom Convoy’ shut down the Ambassador Bridge overnight, halting traffic at the busiest border crossing between the U.S. and Canada on Monday afternoon.
Demonstrations against vaccine mandates and Covid restrictions have taken place across Canada in recent weeks, most notably in Ottawa, Ontario and along the border with the U.S. in Coutts, Alberta.
Windsor’s demonstration halted both directions of border traffic on Monday, forcing the closure of the Ambassador Bridge overnight. Trucks were told to reroute to the next nearest passable crossing at Port Huron/Point Edward’s Blue Water Bridge, over an hour north.
One-way traffic into the U.S. resumed at a trickle on Tuesday morning, with all Canadian-bound traffic still blocked as protests continue in Ontario.

New January 6th Video of Protesters Chatting with Police, Entering through Open Door at Capitol
January 6th surveillance video, newly released by court order this week, shows Trump supporters chatting and shaking hands with police, as some continue to enter and exit the Capitol through broken windows and a door that had been forced open earlier that afternoon.
The time stamp on this footage is from 3:00-3:06pm, 48 minutes after the initial breach of the Capitol (seen here at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUjtmt_9GcY). Several individuals had smashed these windows using a wooden beam, police riot shield and other means, leading to the open-door scene here later that afternoon.
The crowd streams in and out of the building, some interacting with officers as they encounter them in the halls of the U.S. Capitol.
(No audio is available with this footage release, only the surveillance camera video).

Patriot Front Marches in DC near March for Life 2022
In their second public appearance in two weeks, the nationalist ‘Patriot Front’ group mobilized in DC on the same day as the annual March for Life 2022 pro-life/anti-abortion rally.
The group, lead by self-described fascist Thomas Rousseau, held a permit separate from March for Life for a demonstration on Friday in DC. They marched with a large police escort near the M4L route along Constitution Avenue.
The large crowd of March for Life demonstrators, numbering in the tens of thousands, was briefly paused as police and PF moved onto the sidewalk, where they stood as a small group of counter-protesters accosted them from across police lines. One woman wearing a pink Trump hat and “Pro Life” shirt was arrested after running across the police line towards the PF group.
Eventually the group was escorted away from the M4L route and over towards the Gallery Place-Chinatown metro station. They loaded shields and flags into a Uhaul before departing on the metro to Virginia.
The group recently made an appearance at the March for Life Chicago on January 8th, which is documented here https://rumble.com/vscwti-patriot-front-accosted-at-march-for-life-chicago.html

Patriot Front Accosted at March for Life Chicago
About 50 members of Patriot Front, a self-described nationalist and fascist group, marched over to the March for Life Chicago on Saturday, where they were met with a chilly reception.
March for Life rallygoers accosted the group, accusing them of "hijacking a pro-life movement" as they proceeded on their annual anti-abortion march through the Chicago Loop. Marchers questioned their possession of shields and inverted American flags. Some arguments continued as the group proceeded on the sidewalk alongside the March for Life, before Patriot Front members paused and broke off from the march at Michigan Avenue. They marched through Grant Park before departing in a caravan of private vehicles with taped-over license plates.
Patriot Front was formed in 2017 as a split-off from Vanguard America in the wake of the Charlottesville 'Unite the Right' rally. They are lead by Thomas Rousseau, and have been known for making unannounced 'flash rallies' in various large American cities, most recently in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. Rousseau has previously described himself as a fascist (see https://twitter.com/FordFischer/status/1226629333160275968), as have members of the group, and many of the Patriot Front flags feature the fasces symbol, surrounded by 13 stars. Of the group's growth since 2017, Rousseau stated in 2020 "We have found a prosperity that very few nationalist organizations, especially in the United States, have been able to parallel” (see https://odysee.com/@keithwoods:e/thomasrousseau:1). The group is also known for various logo 'stencils' and flag/banner drops on highway overpasses throughout the U.S.
Saturday's rally marks the fourth annual appearance by the group at pro-life/anti-abortion events in Chicago. The March for Life Chicago organizers responded to a tweet ahead of the event on rumors of the group making another appearance, stating "The March for Life Chicago is in no way affiliated with the Patriot Front and opposes white supremacy." (see https://twitter.com/March4LifeChi/status/1478041179853926400 ). Patriot Front marched alongside the group for only about 3 blocks midway through the march before breaking off, with both the rest of the march's procession and the Patriot Front group's departure from the Chicago Loop continuing without incident Saturday afternoon.

January 6th Police Bodycam Footage at Capitol Building
Police bodycam footage from a Metropolitan Police Department officer on January 6th, as a group of officers arrived at the Capitol Building to respond to the crowd outside.
Audio begins at 1:59 in this video, with continuous footage as police head to the Capitol. Clashes occur with the crowd gathered outside, with batons, pepper spray, teargas and other crowd control munitions deployed as they tried to make their way towards the building.
Many officers did not initially have gas masks on, and make periodic rounds between the front lines outside and pulling back for brief breaks to clear their eyes with water.
Timestamps are available in the upper right corner of this Axon bodycam footage. The first breach into the Capitol Building occurred at 2:12 pm that day, which coincides with roughly 18:45 in this video. The crowd breaks through one of the layers of barricades at 35:05, and heads towards the west side of the building. Officers make their way into the west side tunnel at 46:48, with footage continuing for several minutes inside of the Capitol.

NBC Producer Caught Following Jury Vehicle during Kyle Rittenhouse Trial in Kenosha
Body camera footage has been released showing a November 17th incident, in which a man working as a producer with NBC has been stopped allegedly following the jury vehicle during the Kyle Rittenhouse trial in Kenosha.
Police ask who directed him to follow the vehicle, which was transporting the jury after the second day of deliberations in the trial. The man says a network office in New York directed him to do so.
Video shows the man calling and an officer speaking with Irene Byon, who says she works as a booking producer with the network. She denies any attempt to contact jury members, saying the tailing was “just to see where people involved in the trial are positioned”.
MSNBC was banned from the courtroom for the remainder of the trial the morning after the incident. NBC News released a statement that day, saying “Last night, a freelancer received a traffic citation. While the traffic violation took place near the jury van, the freelancer never contacted or intended to contact the jurors during deliberations, and never photographed or intended to photograph them. We regret the incident and will fully cooperate with the authorities on any investigation.”

Speeches were held outside the Midtown Manhattan skyscraper hosting the Consulate General office, with demonstrators chanting ‘Save Australia!’ throughout the afternoon. Videos of government measures and police responses to anti-lockdown protests in Australia have been circulating in recent months on social media in the US.

Covid Test Site Knocked Down at NYC Anti-Mandate March
Two marchers flipped over a Covid-19 mobile test site tent in New York City on Monday, knocking over a table and chairs set up in Union Square. 2nd Amendment March in Lansing, Michigan
2nd Amendment supporters gathered at the Michigan State Capitol today for the 12th annual ‘2A March’ in Lansing.
The event was organized by Second Amendment March and Michigan Open Carry, Inc. Attendees included Three Percenters, some members of the Boogaloo movement, Republican campaigners, local firearms instructors, and other groups and individuals.
A crowd of about 100 was out for the event, the first major pro-gun rights demonstration since Michigan’s Capitol Commission banned open carry of firearms inside the building in January.
Speeches included gubernatorial candidate Mike Brown, one of several Republicans seeking the party’s nomination to run against incumbent Governor Gretchen Whitmer next fall.
A portion of the crowd made a brief march around the Capitol Complex, with heavy rain throughout the day shortening the march this year. Speeches were held underneath a large tent on the Capitol lawn throughout the day before the crowd dispersed in the early afternoon.
