Body camera footage has been released showing a November 17th incident, in which a man working as a producer with NBC has been stopped allegedly following the jury vehicle during the Kyle Rittenhouse trial in Kenosha.

Police ask who directed him to follow the vehicle, which was transporting the jury after the second day of deliberations in the trial. The man says a network office in New York directed him to do so.

Video shows the man calling and an officer speaking with Irene Byon, who says she works as a booking producer with the network. She denies any attempt to contact jury members, saying the tailing was “just to see where people involved in the trial are positioned”.

MSNBC was banned from the courtroom for the remainder of the trial the morning after the incident. NBC News released a statement that day, saying “Last night, a freelancer received a traffic citation. While the traffic violation took place near the jury van, the freelancer never contacted or intended to contact the jurors during deliberations, and never photographed or intended to photograph them. We regret the incident and will fully cooperate with the authorities on any investigation.”
