They've done this particularly well with Psalms, and it's a treat to try and recreate some of their songs here in a mellow, instrumental kind of way. But think about the words these psalms convey: You wrote the story of my life... You hem me in behind and before... I am fearfully and wonderfully made... The LORD is my Shepherd... Goodness, mercy, and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life... They're the words of a God of love - a Father who thinks about and adores His children. That's us! He's our sustainer, our protector, our provider. He loves with a rich, extravagant love! BUT GOD. When God steps in to our situations and relationships, and we learn to trust Him in the middle of all these things, He empowers us to see things from a new perspective - to see things the way that He sees them. With God nothing is impossible! Because we are in Jesus, we are more than conquerors through Him! Nothing can ever separate us from His love - the love He has lavished on us as His children. He can provide. He can protect. He can sustain. He is faithful! And so when our view is clouded by the hardship of life, the call is to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Let’s allow God to give us fresh vision, to shift our vantage point from being under the circumstances to that of an overcomer. Victory belongs to the LORD, and we belong to the LORD; that means that victory is ours, and we can take God at His word - everything He has said He will do He will do!
