We took low cost carrier Zipair to Japan from San Francisco 1:04 China Airlines Lounge 2:27 Boarding Zipair 4:00 Zipair Meals 6:30 Landing 7:00 Sakura Mobile 8:00 24 hours Lawson It cost us $455 flying on the weekend per person one way which is very cheap with all things considered. We added $80 for 1 luggage, seat selection and food plus drink. We've seen the price as low as $280 one way from San Francisco to Tokyo Overall it was a great both price, quality of the travel and the food. Seats are pretty comfy with decent spaces. Boiling Beijing located in San Bruno, California has the best Peking duck in the bay area, they are one of the few authentic Chinese restaurant around. If you want to get their Peking duck make sure to order it at least a day ahead whether it's half of full. (They also have hot pot which we have yet to try) The owner is very nice and friendly and the service are excellent as well.
