Elmo falls into a deep sleep and starts having a bizaare dream where he is free falling in space, then finally falls and lands on a nicely mowed patch of grass. He picks himself up from the long drop and notices a mirror in front of him. Elmo's curiosity kicks in and has to approach the mirror to get a closer look. And when he finally is standing next to the mirror, he has a sudden urge to walk through the glass. And when he does he experiences a time-space portal which then drops him from another mirror in and hurdles him back into space for another long free fall. A few moments later, he lands on another patch of grass and sees another mirror ahead of him. Is this a different patch of grass or a new patch of grass? Is this a different mirror or another mirror? Elmo is drawn to the mirror once again, and walks through it again, thus perpetually putting him into a dreamscape free-falling time-loop dream, and Elmo starts to wonder if he will ever get out of it? It looks like Elmo is experiencing a series case of Deja Vu! Stay tuned for more Elmo in the future to find out! Elmo is the 2nd part of the duo of Argyle and Elmo, which I created years ago. It took me approximately 6 days to develop Elmo and then create this video. In the making of this video, I learned how to make easy grass in Blender, how to create fog in Blender, , how to make a mirror in Blender, make an object disappear using CapCut, and how to repeat rigged actions in Blender. On a snowy winter day, Argyle decides to go outside and test his snowball throwing skills. He finds that the snow packs well, and that he can still get some nice velocity on the snowball when he tosses it across the field. "Right down the middle! Just the way he likes it!" I put this video together to display using Blender to build my Argyle character creation, and with the aide of the Mixamo website's armature-rigging animation presets, I was able to make Argyle come to life and throw a snowball. I used the "Grease Pencil" feature in Blender, and only applied it to the snowball. I think it added a nice touch to it. A few tweaks here and there in Blender, and this is my final result. My goal is to create a short animation of a snowball fight between Argyle and Elmo, but that's gonna take some work. But small steps first.... Introducing my new animated version of Argyle, doing the Gangnam Style dance. Argyle is a cartoon character I created years ago. I decided to build him in 3D using Blender, and then using a new rigging animation feature in Maximo to bring him to life. After many struggles and setbacks trying to get his newly constructed figure to work in Maximo, I finally succeeded in animating him. I chose this Gangnam Style dance to introduce him to the rest of the world. I admit, this animation is a bit over the top, but it's all in fun. There are a few elements of Argyle that I most likely will change in the future, including his hair, his shirt, maybe his eyes, and the shape of his head, to try and get him closer to what I envisioned him to be when I first created him. In this video I incorporate a rigged 3D character rigged for actions, tiny blinking lights, revolving text, and shattered glass text for the ending title. This short video incorporates 7 different versions of a simple 5 red second timer green screen that you can use in your projects ( or you can call it a progress bar ). This is a slight upgrade of the previous version I created. You can also use it as a countdown timer if you flip it ( reverse it ) and make it count from 5 down to zero. Included: Full screen version, top left version, top right version, bottom left version, bottom right version, top middle version, and a bottom middle version. I grew frustrated when using certain applications, and when I wanted to use a timer in my project, there was no free option, but only paid options. So I went about and created my own 5 red second timer. So, if you are in the same predicament I was in, you can use this video by trimming it to the version of your liking and add it in using the green screen special effect. The Duck Song Duck disappointed that The Man doesn't have any grapes at his stand once again, decides to show The Man up in high fashion as he jumps in his race car and jumps across the canyon. Once he's finished with his death-defying feat, he goes back to The Man and rubs it in his face, "How do you like them apples!?" Again, we don't know what exactly the duck was trying to prove here. It just doesn't make any sense from out perspective. But hey, we're talking about a duck here, a duck that has a looney craving for grapes! I've been working on this animation over the past several years, not really sure what to do with it, and how it should end. So I just decided to add a few things and complete it, once and for all. A timeline of the yearly history of Major League Baseball's All-Star game between the American League and the National League - from 1933 to 2022 - in 4K. The score for each game is provided for each year, the name of the stadium or ball park the games was played in, the winning and losing pitchers of record, as well as who hit home runs in each game, and also who the MVP of each game was, which the MLB didn't start awarding until the year 1962. My latest Blender animation project, which showcases all the MLB National League batting champions from 1876 all the way through 2022. Each champion is displayed with their very own pillar, with the height of each pillar correlates to their batting average for that year, along with their team flag flying above, the year, their name, and batting average stats in gold lettering on each of their pillars. The higher the average the taller the pillar is. This is a follow up to my American League version I did earlier, only this time it was much more taxing to complete. The history of the National League is longer than the American League with seasons going back to 1876. So I had to add 25 more pillars and flags to this animation. With the added pillars and flags, I ended up having to add an additional 2,600 frames to the sequence. Way too many!!!! I first tried rendering it in the Cycles Engine, but it would have taken about 7 days to render it all. And plus, during the first few hundred frames, the flag seem to not wave as often, sometimes freezing without any changes, from one frame to the next. So I decided to switch over to using the Eevee rendering engine instead, which of course renders faster, but doesn't quite give you the quality results as the Cycles engine does ( better shadows and light bounces ). All in all, the Eevee render took about a little over 30 hours to crunch the 7,600 frames total. Yet I still got uneven and jittery results on the waving flags. This is even after changing the settings to the wind simulator three different times! Anyways, at this point, I was just desperate to get a finished product, and this is what I ended up with. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but maybe next time, I can figure out a way to keep the flag waving smoothly. I tried baking in the physics results multiple times, but each time I did, Blender would crash at the end, and I would have to close and reopen the application, only to find out all my baking was gone. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this animation. It was long week of frustration for me to get it done, but I learned a lot in doing so. This NL version, I made the names, dates and batting averages much larger on each pillar so as to read better when displayed on smaller devices. It all looks great on a big screen TV, but most people are probably watching on their phones and tablets.
