Hello there friends. A few weeks ago I ended up in the ER. I in that process I fell and hurt my left arm. The arm/hand that I paint with. This is why you have not seen any long form videos for 2 weeks. The one from Monday was record the night before my ER visit. I was going a little stir crazy not being able to paint. I started to get some use back and I figured I would try to paint and record a video. You will notice that I painted this half and half left hand right hand :p. Hello there friends. I have been creating these videos in the shorter form. I find that they are really relaxing. It got me thinking of all of those videos you see where you will put something on to relax or go to sleep. I then thought why not add rain sounds. I would watch these kinds of videos all the time. I had never seen one with painting. Hello there friends. The cheap Chip Brushes really do have this flair about them. I hated them when I started painting because the hairs always are falling out. Hello there friends. I have long been aware of the term "Conceptual Continuity" from Frank Zappa. I was listening to apostrophe. That album was the first time the term "Conceptual Continuity" was introduced to me. A long time ago. I never did till today, know what Frank ultimately meant by that term. I had done a googly and found that it was way more. It was also the philosophy that I have had as an artist my whole life. Its the idea that everything even me typing this is a part of the artistic process and is part of what becomes what you see on the canvas. What you hear in the music what you see in the sculpture. Every artist's next piece is built on every little thing that has happened to them in their life up to that moment including every piece of art they have seen or created. Every political debate they have seen. Every sporting event they watched. Every broken leg, every cut, scrape, every cheese burger they have ever eaten. That is what will become the next piece of art. That is their "Conceptual Continuity". Thanks for watching. The background is not black gesso its lamp black oil paint. I didnt show that part since no one wants to see that. I think I am going to do another one like this but with black gesso.
