An Instagram post Wednesday claimed Lil Tay, a young influencer with more than three million followers, had suddenly passed away. Now, a new report has surfaced that the teenager is still alive — and her former manager is questioning "an alternative motive behind this occurrence." Tay quickly rose to internet fame in 2018 when she was just 9 years old, gaining notoriety by posting energetic and expletive-filled videos featuring cars she claimed to have purchased herself and fistfuls of cash that she waved around in her hands. The girl disappeared from the public eye as quickly as she'd entered it. On Wednesday, a post was shared to her Instagram account, the first since June 2018, that claimed she and her older brother Jason had both died. On Thursday, Lil Tay reportedly told TMZ, "I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive." She also claimed that her "Instagram account was compromised." In response, her former manager Harry Tsang exclusively told Fox News Digital that he finds "relief in the fact that she is safe." "However, I believe the reported hacking incident may not have occurred," Tsang, who noted that he hasn't spoken to the family in two years, stated. Chaos erupted Friday afternoon after a large crowd gathered at Manhattan's Union Square Park for livestreamer Kai Cenat's meet-and-greet and giveaway. Things spiraled out of control at around 3 p.m., when some in the crowd could be seen tearing down construction barricades and hurling objects, including throwing some objects at responding police officers. As the chaos unfolded, a vehicle attempted to leave - believed to have been carrying Cenat. The crowd could be seen mobbing it. It moved slowly through throngs of people before eventually speeding off, with people clinging to the sides and back. At least three people could be seen tumbling off the vehicle onto the pavement as it sped away. Cenat was taken into police custody for questioning at around 5 p.m. He did not have a permit for the event or preplan it with police. Earlier in the day, Cenat posted on social media that he would be there in person for the giveaway. He has more than 9 million combined followers on Twitch and other social media platforms. It was reported by YouTuber and movie reviewer Price of Reason that he believed the film depicted Splinter as gay after watching an early screening of the film. Conspiracy theories abound over claims that Paramount is trying to cover up the fact that a character in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) film was originally meant to be gay. “Now that in and of itself is already out of character for Splinter as we’ve known him for years, as it just doesn’t seem like something he would do. But then later after researching the character posters for this movie and also consulting with Tom from Midnight’s Edge, I’ve come to the conclusion that they’ve decided to present Splinter in this movie as an LGBT character, a creative decision that I disagree with since he’s never been presented that way in the 40 years that this franchise has existed.” The reviewer’s evidence lies in movie posters released by ParamountUK introducing each character and the actors who play them.
