Inside 'Good Morning America' Anchor Robin Roberts and Partner Amber Laign's 16 Year Love Story
The Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts has long been one of the brightest smiles on our screens every morning. For years, she's had partner Amber Laign by her side but it wasn't until 2013 that the ABC broadcaster announced that she was seeing the licensed massage therapist to the public.
It was really Roberts' bone marrow transplant due to her myelodysplastic syndrome that led to her opening up about her family and longtime girlfriend in a Facebook post. She explained to Ellen DeGeneres in 2014 that though her girlfriend didn't like the spotlight, she wanted to share with the public how important she had been throughout her illness and recovery.
"She's very, very supportive and she's been right there beside me every step of the way," Robin gushed. "And it was actually the end of the year on my Facebook and I had been thanking my doctors, my nurses and my sister who was a perfect match and I said [to Amber] I want to say thank you."
The couple met on a blind date set up by friends back in 2005 and they've been together ever since. While we do get glimpses of Laign with her partner on red carpets, she still prefers to be fairly out of the limelight. In addition to being a massage therapist, we also know that she is the co-founder of the brand Plant Juice Oils which makes CBD and essential oils.
Like everyone else, the couple had to adjust to their new normal after the pandemic started last year. The anchor packed up her dressing room in New York City and they headed to quarantine at their home in Connecticut. The GMA host was working from her living room like most of the country but more importantly, was getting some quality time with Laign that she hadn't been able to get in years past.
"We're going on 16 years now," the GMA anchor, 60, tells PEOPLE of her relationship with Laign, 46. "We spent more time together this past year than in the previous 15 years combined. We've never been stronger."

What Happened To Andy Griffith's On Screen Love Helen Crump?
Mayberry really was the quintessential small town of America that everyone dreamed of. The Andy Griffith Show remains popular in reruns to this day not only because everyone loves watching Sheriff Andy Taylor and Deputy Barney Fife (Don Knotts), but because truly all of the citizens in the fictional town were so charming. The show really wouldn't have been the same without schoolteacher Helen Crump who becomes Deputy Andy Taylor's longtime sweetheart. Aneta Corsaut brought the character to life which is one of the roles she is best known for throughout her entire career.
When we're first introduced to Helen Crump, there's a reason she has such an unattractive last name. Opie (Ron Howard) complains about "Old Lady Crump" to his dad which makes it hilarious when he meets her in person later on and discovers she is actually an attractive young woman.
"The character's comical name suggests that the writer of the episode, John Whedon, thought of her as little more than a schoolmarm," Gustavo Pérez Firmat wrote in A Cuban in Mayberry: Looking Back at America's Hometown.
Helen's character was initially just meant to be a one-off but after producers were impressed with Corsaut's performance as well as her on-screen chemistry with Griffith, she ended up becoming a recurring character throughout the series that marries Andy Taylor in the premiere of the spinoff show, Mayberry R.F.D. and also appears later on in the TV movie Return to Mayberry.
Similar to her character, Aneta Louise Corsaut was born in Kansas. After moving to New York City to pursue an acting career, she made her big-screen debut opposite Steve McQueen in The Blob. She went on to appear on various TV shows including the sitcom Mrs. G. Goes to College as well as Bonanza, Robert Montgomery Presents, Producers' Showcase, Valentine's Day, Gunsmoke, The Blue Knight, The Runaways, House Calls as Head Nurse Bradley, Hart to Hart, and more. She even appeared opposite her former co-star Griffith in multiple episodes of his TV series Matlock.

Outside of her acting career, Corsaut never got married or had any children. According to author Daniel de Visé who wrote Andy and Don: The Making of a Friendship and a Classic American TV Show, there was a reason Corsaut and Griffith had such great chemistry on-screen. Apparently, they were having an affair behind the scenes and the entire cast and crew knew about it despite the pair's attempts to keep things under wraps. At the time, Griffith was married to Barbara Bray Edwards.
“Andy couldn’t get enough of Aneta...Eventually, he proposed, even though he was already married,” the author said. “He popped the question at least once and possibly two or three times, as Aneta hinted in later years. She turned him down.”
It's widely known that Griffith liked to play pranks on the set of the show and according to the author, as soon as everyone found out about the affair, they decided to try a prank on the star that didn't exactly go over well.
“One evening,” de Visé wrote, “members of the Griffith crew unleashed a practical joke on Andy and Aneta: a young crewman donned a waiter’s uniform and delivered dinner to the couple’s love nest at a Hollywood hotel. Andy was furious.”
It's interesting to speculate on how long the alleged affair lasted considering Corsaut made her final on-screen performance as Judge Cynthia Justin on Matlock. She passed away from cancer in 1995 in Los Angeles.

'Virgin River': 7 Locations to Visit if You Love the Netflix Series
Robyn Carr's beloved book series turned Netflix series follows the story of Melinda "Mel" Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) who moves to the picturesque small town of Virgin River to work as a nurse practitioner. Mel has undergone serious personal trauma so she tries to start fresh in her new town despite the initial culture shock of relocating from the big city. There are so many things to love about the show -- new romance, charming small-town life and characters going through emotional struggles that will tear at your heartstrings.
Virgin River was a major hit after the release of its first season and its second season is now officially on Netflix! So where is Virgin River exactly? Despite taking place in California, the TV show actually wasn't filmed in the United States. The filming locations are all outside of Vancouver in Canada. Also known as "Hollywood North," this area has been a major filming hub over the past couple of decades for other shows including The Flash, Riverdale, Once Upon A Time and more.
Here are some of the recognizable filming locations from Virgin River you'll find in the Vancouver area.
1. Jack's Bar
Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson), the owner of the local bar in town, has an immediate connection with Mel when she gets to town. He was also a U.S. Marine and is suffering from PTSD which Mel is able to recognize and help him with throughout the first season.
The actual setting for Jack's Bar is the Watershed Grill in Brackendale, outside of Vancouver.
2. Doc Mullins Clinic
[caption id="attachment_83619" align="alignnone" width="798"] Screengrab from YouTube[/caption]
Grouchy Doc Mullins (Tim Matheson) is a little unsure of Mel when she first comes to town, but she eventually wins him over. Similar to Matheson's role as another small-town doctor in Hart of Dixie, Doc Mullins is a bit rough around the edges, but deep down he's a big softy. That is definitely evident in his interactions with his ex-wife, who also happens to be the town mayor, Hope McCrea (Annette O'Toole).
The location of Doc's office is 122 First Street in the historic Queen's Park of New Westminster. The Queen Anne-style mansion, known as the Breezehurst, has been featured in numerous other TV shows and films over the years.
3. Mel's cabin
When Mel steps foot in her homey new cabin for the first time, it's quite the shock. She did come from the big city after all. But Jack and Mayor McCrea help her fix it up and it turns into exactly where she needs to be.
The real house is located in Murdo Frazer Park and serves as the park caretaker's home.
4. Paige’s Bakeaway
Paige Lassiter owns her own bakery food truck on the show. A single mom with a little boy, Paige has her own reasons for moving to the small town of Virgin River, which are eventually revealed on the show.
The location for her cute little truck is actually Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park.

5. ‘Welcome to Virgin River’ sign
[caption id="attachment_83621" align="alignnone" width="798"] Screengrab from YouTube[/caption]
East of Vancouver on Pioneer Avenue in Agassiz (just 75 miles outside Vancouver) you'll find the location of the sign welcoming folks to Virgin River.
6. Establishing shots of the town
[caption id="attachment_83833" align="alignnone" width="640"] Screengrab via YouTube[/caption]
The Netflix show took advantage of some of the most stunning small-town areas outside of Vancouver. Snug Cove on Bowen Island serves as the main shot of the exterior of the town as a whole, but there are numerous other areas featured including Port Coquitlam and the Samz Neighbourhood Pub in Port Coquitlam.

Harrison Ford + Calista Flockhart Live on an 800-Acre Ranch in Wyoming
It's hard to imagine a Hollywood without Harrison Ford. One of the greatest action heroes of his generation he will forever be remembered for bringing Han Solo and Indiana Jones to life on the big screen. But it was an interesting road that led Ford to stardom and ultimately to meeting his wife of 10 years, actress Calista Flockhart.
Ford didn't even start acting until college where he met his first wife, Mary Marquardt. After taking an initial acting class he was hooked and decided to pursue it full time. In order to support his wife Mary and their two children, Ben and Willard, he started working as a carpenter. Even when he booked small roles for directors like George Lucas or Francis Ford Coppola they would apparently also hire him on the side for some carpentry work. All of that would change as soon as the role of Han Solo in Star Wars made Ford an A-lister, but he never lost his love of woodworking.
The beloved actor was married to his second wife Melissa Mathison from 1983 until their divorce was finalized in 2004 and they share two children together, Georgia and Malcolm. In 2002, Ford met actress Calista Flockhart at the Golden Globe Awards and it was an instantaneous connection. She had adopted a son named Liam right before meeting Ford but for all intents and purposes, the actor became the young boy's father.
Flockhart is well known for her many roles on iconic TV shows and films. Outside of David E. Kelley's hilarious CBS show Ally McBeal, she starred in Guiding Light, The Birdcage, Robot Chicken, as Kitty Walker with co-star Sally Field in ABC's Brothers & Sisters, as Cat Grant on the CW's Supergirl, and
A Midsummer Night's Dream. Like Ford, she is also a native of Illinois though she studied at Rutgers University in New Jersey. After years of dating, Ford popped the question on Valentine's Day in 2009 and they tied the knot the following year in an intimate ceremony in New Mexico.
After years of walking red carpets at the Golden Globes, Emmys, and Oscars, in addition to dealing with the busy lifestyle of Hollywood and Los Angeles, Ford and Flockhart prefer to spend most of their time and their relaxing ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The actor initially bought the ranch in the 80s with his second wife Melissa when Jackson Hole was just a quite little town in the Teton Mountains.
“I’m old news. I’ve been there (Hollywood) for 35 years.” Ford told Parade. “When I’m up in Wyoming, I just walk out the door and keep walking...if my chores are done and there’s nothing more pressing and the weather’s good, I’ll go flying—I love to fly up there—or walk in the woods, do some work, ride my road bike or mountain bike.”
The couple loves entertaining their family at their property -- Ford's four children from his first two marriages and teenage Liam, who just finished high school and is starting college this year. Ford told Land Report that one of his favorite parts about spending time at his ranch along Snake River, which he helped design, is just getting an escape.
“I need balance,” he said. “I need to be in a situation where my every whim is not attended to, where I have to fetch my own nails, do my own shopping, and wash my own dishes. … Being normal is a kind of victory. I’ll fix a fence, repair a piece of equipment, or plough the driveway if there’s snow. There’s always plenty of work to do.”
Though Flockhart has slowed down a bit and hasn't appeared in any films or TV series for a couple of years, Ford shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. He appeared in The Call of the Wild earlier this year and is still planning to reprise his iconic role as Indiana Jones in another feature film next year. We definitely respect the actor for being private about his personal life and it's refreshing that he and Flockhart enjoy life together off the grid instead of being spotted by tabloids all over the streets of New York City or L.A.

Kurt Russell's Dad, Bing Russell, Was a Baseball Legend and 'Bonanza' Star
Back before we had Hollywood icon Kurt Russell, we had his father, Bing Russell. Bing had a lengthy career in entertainment and paved the way for his son Kurt to follow in his footsteps. Though Bing and his wife Louise Julia Crone had four children during their long marriage, Kurt was the only one to follow his father's example in show biz. Though he's best known for his role in the iconic western television series Bonanza, Bing appeared in countless films and TV shows throughout his career.
Neil Oliver Russell "Bing" was born in Brattleboro, Vermont in 1926, but grew up around the spring training camp for the New York Yankees in St. Petersburg, Florida. He even became an unofficial mascot for the team while they were in town and became friends with some of the team's most notable Major League Baseball players like Joe Dimaggio and Lefty Gomez. Though he had already established a love of acting at his local high school, Bing also really loved baseball as a result of his close proximity to the Yankees every year. In fact, after he graduated with his business degree from Dartmouth, Bing even played minor league baseball before moving out to Hollywood in California.
Bing's acting career kicked off in the film Cavalry Patrol. Though he had numerous uncredited roles throughout the 50s, he ended the decade by booking the role of "Deputy Clem Foster" in Bonanza. The actor's fame he received playing the deputy (and later sheriff) on the popular western series led to numerous more roles in the Old West. He appeared on all of the iconic classics -- Rawhide, Gunsmoke, The Big Valley, The Virginian, The Rifleman, Wagon Train, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, The Untouchables, and even Little House On The Prairie. He also appeared on some of the other popular shows on the air like The Andy Griffith Show, I Dream Of Jeannie, The Munsters, The Monkees, Highway Patrol, The Donna Reed Show, The Twilight Zone, and The Rockford Files. He was even in the TV adaptation of The Fugitive.
His ability to expertly play cowboy characters also translated into major films. You probably remember Bing's role as Robert in The Magnificent Seven. He was the traveling companion of Henry (Val Avery). He also appeared in the Don Knotts classic The Apple Dumpling Gang
Longtime fans of Kurt Russell know that he began his acting career as a child. He appeared opposite his father in the Disney film the computer wore tennis shoes and later in the TV movie about Elvis Presley's life, Elvis. Kurt played the titular character and Bing played his onscreen father, Vernon Presley.
It seems that later in life, Bing just couldn't shake that love of baseball and decided to do something about it. In the 70s, he owned the Portland Mavericks, the only independent team in the Class A Northwest League. Unlike the typical professional baseball team, Bing's motto was "fun." He went so far as to keep things fun that he even kept all corporate sponsorships outside of the gate so that the ballpark was fully focused on the game on the side. As a result, they had the highest attendance in minor league history. But Bing didn't stop there. He also hired the first female general manager in minor league baseball (Lanny Moss). His son Kurt even played for the team in their inaugural season in 1973. Unfortunately, after five seasons, Portland bought the team from Bing in order to upgrade the Class AAA Portland Beavers to minor league status. There was even a documentary about the team made in 2014, The Battered Bastards of Baseball.
The actor passed away in his home of Thousand Oaks, California in 2003 after losing a battle to cancer. Throughout his life, Bing Russell made a name for himself as a beloved television actor. His impact on minor league baseball and love of the game will also always be remembered.

Meet Kris Kristofferson's 8 Children, From Soap Opera Star Jesse to Country Singer Casey
Imagine growing up in the shadow of Kris Kristofferson: a former helicopter pilot, golden gloves boxer and Rhodes Scholarship recipient who'd become more of a renaissance man as one of the greatest singer-songwriters to emerge from Nashville and a featured actor in numerous Hollywood productions (from Barbra Streisand's A Star is Born to Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Heaven's Gate and the Blade trilogy).
On the flipside, if your dad studied at Oxford University before going on to write "Help Me Make It Through the Night," "For the Good Times," "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down," "Why Me", "The Silver Tongued Devil and I," Bob Dylan's "They Killed Him" and other classics and join Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings in country music supergroup The Highwaymen, then you only need to inherit one of his many talents to have a leg up on your peers.
Kristofferson's eight children follow his songwriting or acting legacy in their own way, whether they're performing on stage, in front of a camera, in a wrestling ring or in the legal sphere.
Tracy Kristofferson (Born January 9, 1962)
Kristofferson's daughter Tracy is one of two children from his marriage to Fran Beer, his high school sweetheart from San Mateo, Cal. The Stanford graduate is an actor and producer, credited on IMDB for the films A Place to Grow (1995), Night of the Cyclone (1990) and Trouble in Mind (1985). She's the ex-wife of Richard Tyson, the American actor best known as the bad guy from Kindergarten Cop.
Kris Kristofferson Jr. (Born in 1968)
Less is known about Tracy's brother, except that he got passed down the most famous name this side of Hank Williams Jr.
Casey Kristofferson (Born in 1974)
The lone child of Kris Kristofferson and his second wife, fellow recording artist Rita Coolidge, inherited her parents' musical talents. Casey's a North Carolina-based touring and recording artist and the leader of the Casey Kristofferson Band.
Jesse Kristofferson (Born Oct. 7, 1983)
After Kristofferson and Coolidge ended their marriage in 1980, he met his third wife Lisa Meyers at a gym in Malibu. The couple married in 1983 and are still together, spending much of their time in Maui, Hawaii. Meyers has helped her husband navigate an early onset Alzheimer's diagnosis that was later identified as Lyme disease.
The first of Kristofferson's five children with Meyers, Jesse caught the acting bug, leading to roles on the Melrose Place reboot (2010) plus a 2012 run on long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives.
Jody Kristofferson (Born May 21, 1985)
Jody took the Kristofferson family's need to perform for an audience in a new direction. He's a professional wrestler, billed as Garrett Dylan during his 2012-2014 run in the WWE's developmental system and known by his birth name on the independent scene. He's teamed at times with fellow wrestler Dalton Frost as the Sons of Texas.
Johnny Kristofferson (Born in 1988)
Like his mother before him, Johnny studied law at Pepperdine University. He now works in California as an attorney.
Kelly Marie Kristofferson (Born in 1991)
Kristofferson's youngest daughter inherited more than one of his talents. She's also an actor, singer and instrumentalist.
She's married to painter Aydin Hamami.

Blake Kristofferson (Born in 1994)
Like Kris Jr., there's minimal information out there about Blake, except that he, too, has a degree from Pepperdine.

Matthew McConaughey's Millionaire Brother Rooster Was a Reality TV Star
We all know and love actor Matthew McConaughey. He's a Texas treasure who passionately loves his home state and even chose to move back to his beloved Austin to raise his three children with his wife Camila Alves. But did you know that he has an older brother who's a self-made millionaire? Mike 'Rooster' McConaughey used everything he learned from his father James Donald McConaughey on the Texas oil fields as a young man and was able to turn that knowledge into a profitable business living by the motto “high risk means high reward.”
You'd think that just being known for being Matthew McConaughey's brother would make you popular among major fans of the Oscar winner, but Rooster has paved his own path which led from the oil fields to reality television. He made his first million at 30 years old, and though he lost it all a year later, he learned everything he needed to make millions with his oil pipe business, DGM Supply. After finding immense success, Rooster and his business partner Wayne "Butch" Gilliam starred in the docuseries West Texas Investors Club for two seasons on CNBC. The series focused on their investment company West Texas Ltd.
His latest new show, Rooster & Butch, debuted on A&E in 2018. Their goal was to be the opposite of Shark Tank, helping aspiring entrepreneurs real their goals.
“We level the playing field,” McConaughey told People. “It’s a condensed version of how we’ve done business our entire lives.”
With his heavy Texas drawl, Rooster is possibly, even more, Texas than his famous brother. He even named his son Miller Lyte after his favorite beer. He apparently grew up the life of the party and frequently seen with a cigar in hand on his TV shows, which comes as no surprise. Though he's taking a hiatus from reality TV these days, he's regularly seen accompanying his brother on red carpets in Hollywood, though unlike their mother, has actually kept his mouth shut about his famous brother, respecting his boundaries.

Who Plays Beth Dutton on 'Yellowstone'? Kelly Reilly Brings the Series' Toughest Character to Life
Kelly Reilly is currently in her third season playing Beth Dutton on the Paramount Network's hit western series, Yellowstone. But did you know that Reilly, who looks right at home riding a horse in the wild west, is actually British?
Growing up in London, Reilly actually got her first professional acting role after writing to ask for work. The Helen Mirren British television drama, Prime Suspect, actually called her in and she appeared in a 1995 episode. Over the next few years, Reilly appeared in various stage productions before she started making her way back in front of the camera.
Reilly played the role of Wendy in the French comedy film opposite Audrey Tautou and Romain Duris, L'Auberge espagnole, a role which earned her Best Newcomer Award at the Cannes Film Festival. She also appeared in its two follow-up films -- Les Poupées russes (The Russian Dolls) and Casse-tête chinois, and had a supporting role in Mrs. Henderson Presents. But American fans probably first remember Reilly for her role as Caroline Bingley in Pride & Prejudice starring Keira Knightley, Me and Orson Welles with Zac Efron, or playing Mary Watson in Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Those supporting roles lead to leading roles in the Robert Zemeckis film Flight with Denzel Washington as well as Heaven is for Real with Greg Kinnear.
But the English actress showed that she had the acting chops for American TV. She briefly led her own ABC drama, Black Box, before playing Vince Vaughn's wife in the second season of HBO's True Detective. Reilly also appeared on Broadway opposite Clive Owen in Old Times, before landing the role of Celtic Queen Kerra in the Amazon TV show Britannia, which lasted for two seasons.
But after Britannia, Reilly was cast in the leading female role on the Kevin Costner lead Yellowstone. She plays the daughter of John Dutton (Costner) alongside Wes Bentley, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, and Gil Birmingham. The role of Beth really lets Reilly shine because Beth is one tough cookie. She's also emotionally unstable and has a substance abuse problem, so it required an actress with a lot of range.
"She’s probably the most self-loathing character that I’ve ever played, Reilly told Parade.
"But she outsources her pain like no other I’ve ever read. If I could akin her to anything, she’s like some Shakespearean or Greek Tragedy character, like some goddess of war or something. It’s like she’s turned all that pain into darkness, so that’s who she is."
Beth is an incredibly complex career and at times, makes some unlikeable choices. But that's part of what Reilly loves about playing her.
"I love her mind," Reilly told CinemaBlend.
"I love her intelligence. I love her fierceness. She’s a warrior...Like I trust, taking Beth so far into unlikability because I know I’m going to be held in [Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan]'s respect for her as a character. As he does with all of them. There’s a messiness and forwardness to each of them, and also just a deep underlying vulnerability to her that I don’t necessarily play too often."
Yellowstone season 3 is currently on the air but its already been renewed for a fourth season. We can't wait to see what's in store of Beth and the rest of the Dutton clan.

10 of Charley Pride's Greatest Songs
There's been so many great Charley Pride songs over the years that the country music legend became RCA Records' best-selling solo artist since Elvis Presley. The Sledge, Mississippi native's career accomplishments include 29 No. 1 hits, spread out between 1969 and 1983, plus numerous other songs that've stood the test of time and a shelf full of Grammy awards.
This top 10 list favors country songs made famous by Pride, eliminating noteworthy covers of Ronnie Dove's "Mountain of Love," Kris Kristofferson's "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Help Me Make It Through The Night" and Hank Williams' "Kaw-Liga," "Honky Tonk Blues" and "You Win Again." It also skips quite a few well-deserved No. 1 hits, such as "Wonder Could I Live There Anymore," "I Can't Believe That You've Stopped Loving Me," "It's Gonna Take a Little Bit Longer," "A Shoulder to Cry On," "Don't Fight The Feelings of Love," "My Eyes Can Only See as Far as You," "She's Just an Old Love Turned Memory," "Never Been So Loved (In All My Life)," "You're So Good When You're Bad," "I'd Rather Love You," Then Who Am I," "She's Too Good to Be True" and "Amazing Love." Other songs overlooked include the great gospel songs off Let Me Live and Henry Mancini team-up "All His Children."
In short, there's lots of great tunes (many of which are love songs) by Pride, a beloved member of the Grand Ole Opry. Picking his 10 greatest hits is a tall task, so we approached this more as a jumping-off point for anyone learning about or rediscovering Pride's music, not as a definite list of his best songs.
"The Snakes Crawl at Night"
Pride's debut RCA single arrived in December 1965. The Mel Tillis-written, "Cowboy" Jack Clement-produced "The Snakes Crawl at Night" introduced listeners to country music's next great vocalist through a chilling tale of a man who gets revenge on his cheating wife and her secret lover.
"Someone Loves You Honey"
"Crystal Chandeliers" isn't the only often-covered song popularized by Pride. His 1978 hit became the signature hit for reggae singer J.C. Lodge in 1982 and a dance sensation for Lutricia McNeal in 1998. Consider it further proof that a good song's a good song, regardless of its singer's preferred genre.
"Night Games"
Pride's 29th and final No. 1, 1983's "Night Games," proved that not even slick production could water down the delivery of one of country music's all-time great storytellers. For more prime Pride from the '80s, check out his 1981 album Roll on Mississippi (featuring the great song "You Almost Slipped My Mind") and 1984's The Power of Love.
"You're My Jamaica"
The escapist beach bum appeal of Jimmy Buffett informs this chart-topper from 1979. Over 25 years later, Pride re-recorded the song as a duet with Neal McCody for McCoy's 2005 album That's Life.
"I'm Just Me"
Pride spoke for everyday people as effectively as his peer Tom T. Hall and other master storyteller with the title track from a 1971 album. It's one of Pride's better albums because of such deep cuts as a cover of Conway Twitty's "Hello Darlin'."
"Where Do I Put Her Memory" (from the album Burgers and Fries)
Perhaps the best cross between Pride's honky-tonk roots and his penchant for singing Kenny Rogers-style love ballads appears on his classic album Burgers and Fries. Jim Weatherly wrote this must-hear example of Pride lamenting the lovesick blues.
"I'm So Afraid of Losing You Again"
Dallas Frazier of "Elvira" fame co-wrote Pride's second No. 1. Instead of chasing Nashville trends circa 1979, Pride and his team dialed the clock back to the "Tear in My Beer" style honk-tonk numbers from the country star's formative listening years.
"All I Have to Offer You (Is Me)" (momentum began with his No. 9 hit from 1966, "Just Between You and Me")
Momentum building since Pride's No. 9 hit from 1966, "Just Between You and Me," culminated three years later with this, his first No. 1 hit. It was the first song by a Black man to top the Billboard country charts since 1944. That year, both the Nat King Cole Trio and Louis Jordan scored crossover country hits.

"Is Anybody Goin' to San Antone"
Pride's second best-known song tells of the sort of downtrodden character you might expect from Kristofferson. In this case, our hapless hero's hitchhiking far away from a broken relationship.
"Kiss An Angel Good Mornin'"
Most of the time, a classic artist's most obvious song became that famous for a reason. That's the case here, as "Kiss An Angel Good Mornin'" qualifies as one of the greatest country singles of its time and a fine example of Pride's vocal gifts and rural charm.

'Little House on the Prairie' Cast: Where Are They Now?
Little House on the Prairie is one of the most beloved classic tv shows of all time. The show, based on the book series by Laura Ingalls Wilder, followed the Ingalls family in Walnut Grove, Minnesota in the 19th century. Viewers were drawn to the TV series for the same reasons people loved the books. It was a charming depiction of the small-town life in America at the turn of the century, and all of the characters really made you feel like you were part of their world. Which makes sense considering the books were based on Laura's actual life.
Though the series was set in Minnesota, Hollywood did most of the filming in California but it doesn't take anything away from the story. After nine seasons watching the members of the family grow together on NBC, the show ended.
Here's what the Little House on the Prairie cast members have been up to since the show wrapped back in 1983.
1. Melissa Gilbert- Laura Ingalls Wilder
Melissa Gilbert beat out hundreds of little girls for the role of Laura on the show. Fun fact, her brother Jonathan Gilbert co-starred as Willie Oleson on the show with her. Gilbert really grew up on the show, as Laura finds romance, marries, and has her own children.
Following her Little House days, Gilbert has continued acting appearing in a number of TV films as well as numerous shows including Stand By Your Man, Sweet Justice, 7th Heaven, Nip/Tuck, and Secrets and Lies. She was also a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.
2. Michael Landon- Charles Ingalls
Bonanza actor Michael Landon immediately moved over to Little House after his western series was canceled to play "Pa" of the Ingalls family. He also directed the most episodes in the series.
Landon opted out of the ninth season of the show, just showing up as a guest star and moving to a writer/director/producer behind the scenes. He went on to create and star in Father Murphy as well as Highway to Heaven. His daughter, Jennifer Landon, appeared in the final episode and is now starring on Yellowstone. Landon passed away in 1991 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
3. Alison Arngrim- Nellie Oleson
Nellie Oleson was a fictional character on the show, a sassy young girl whos parents ran the mercantile in Walnut Grove. She spends most of the series being the rival of young Laura, the complete opposite of her in many ways. Arngrim had actually auditioned for the roles of Mary and Laura initially but became known as the "bad girl" throughout the 70s for her portrayal of Nellie.
Arngrim went on to appear in a few feature films including The Last Place on Earth, Make the Yuletide Gay, and Le deal. She also released an autobiography in 2010, Confessions of a Prairie Bitch: How I Survived Nellie Oleson and Learned to Love Being Hated.

6. Melissa Sue Anderson- Mary Ingalls
Mary was the oldest child in the Ingalls household, Anderson an unknown actress when she booked the part. The character really created a movement in pop culture for actors to play blind characters on the screen. On the show, Mary becomes a teacher at a school for the blind and marries a blind teacher, Linwood Boomer. This wasn't the story of the real-life Mary but it definitely made for good television.
Following the show, Anderson appeared in numerous TV shows like The Equalizer, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, CHiPs, and Murder, She Wrote. She released an autobiography inspired by her days as a child star, The Way I See It: A Look Back at My Life on Little House. She still books the occasional role but has been largely focused on her life as a mom and wife to a TV writer up in Canada.
7. Karen Grassle- Caroline Ingalls
Grassle was completely unknown when she booked the role of the Ingalls Matriarch, Caroline Ingalls. In fact, it was the first TV gig of her acting career ever. She later relocated to Louisville, Kentucky, and worked with the Actors Theatre of Louisville.
Outside of her theater career, Grassle has continued booking the occasional on-screen gig including TV shows like Murder, She Wrote and Hotel, and feature film Wyatt Earp starring Kevin Costner.
8. Shannen Doherty- Jenny Wilder
A young Shannen Doherty scored the role of Jenny, Almanzo and Laura's niece who they take in after Almanzo's brother dies. Jenny first shows up in the ninth season, Little House: A New Beginning, as well as the TV films.

9. Kyle Richards- Alicia Sanderson Edwards
A young Kyle Richards kicked off her days as a child actor playing the adopted daughter of Grace and Isaiah Edwards. She has also continued acting over the years, appearing on numerous TV shows like Down to Earth, ER, Beverly Hills, 90210, 7th Heaven, and Days of Our Lives.
10. Katherine MacGregor- Harriet Oleson
Harriet was the gossip queen wife of Nels Oleson, proprietor of the local store in Walnut Grove. She was also Nellie's mother. MacGregor remained on the series for all nine seasons.
MacGregor decided she preferred the theater, so Little House was her last on-screen appearance. She regularly performed in LA as well as taught children's theater before passing away in 2018.
11. Linwood Boomer- Adam Kendall
Linwood Boomer played the role of the blind Adam Kendall, love interest and future husband of Mary Ingalls.
Following his time on the show, Boomer wrote a little show inspired by his life growing up as a middle child. That would be the FOX sitcom Malcolm in the Middle starring Bryan Cranston. Here is in the photo above with part of the cast when Cranston got his Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
12. Richard Bull- Nels Oleson
Nels and his wife Harriet were known for having a love/hate relationship, sometimes on display for shoppers at their store, Oleson's Mercantile. Nels was a staple character on the show, staying on all nine seasons as well as the post-show TV films.
Bull appeared on numerous shows after Little House including Hill Street Blues, Highway to Heaven, Designing Women, ER, and Boss. Sadly he passed away from pneumonia in 2014.

Cole Kenneth Hauser was born into Hollywood royalty when he was born in Santa Barbara, California in 1975. His maternal great-grandfather was Harry Warner. Yes, that's Warner of Warner Bros. Before Yellowstone, Hauser appeared on a slew of various TV films and shows including Chase, Rogue, K-Ville, High Incident, and The Lizzie Borden Chronicles. He's an incredibly versatile actor playing everything from a cowboy to a police officer.
Here are some of our favorite films from Cole Hauser's lengthy filmography.

George Strait's Son, Bubba Strait, is a Country Songwriter and Rodeo Cowboy
Growing up with a dad who's the King of Country Music means you pretty much have to love country music. George Strait's son George Strait Jr, better known as Bubba Strait, has gone on to make his dad proud loving all things country including music.
Bubba is George and his wife Norma Strait's second child, born in 1981. Older sister Jenifer tragically passed away in a car accident when she was only 13 years old. Bubba attended college at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas which is where he really started getting into the rodeo. Following school, he even became a team roper with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). He even competed in the 2006 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo before his dad took the stage.
Outside of the rodeo, Bubba learned the ins and outs of country music from one of the greats (Dad) and has proven that he is quite the songwriter. He worked with Strait on multiple songs on his 2009 album, Twang. Bubba co-wrote “Living for the Night,” "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" and "He's Got That Something Special." He even got a solo writing cred for "Arkansas Dave." “Living for the Night” was actually the first single of Strait's career that he co-wrote. Written with Dean Dillon as well as son Bubba, the song went on to hit number 2 on the US Hot Country Songs Billboard.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcosBhBlOEs&feature=emb_title
We do know based off this clip of the father-son duo that Bubba has some singing skills.
He was also featured on the song "Heartland," the opening song for Strait's 1992 film Pure Country.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=a6-7j948l6M&feature=emb_logo
But instead of fully following in the footsteps of his country singer father, Bubba lives out in the Texas Hill Country with his longtime love, Tamara. They have two children together, Jilliann Louise Strait and George Harvey Strait III, who goes by Harvey. Though Tamara is now a realtor with Strait Luxury, she was a Silver Dancer with the San Antonio Spurs.
It seems like the sweet family is enjoying the quiet life in Texas, but hopefully, Bubba's days of writing songs with his dad aren't over!

5 Things You Didn't Know About Sandra Bullock
Sandra Bullock is easily one of the most likable women in Hollywood. She's one of those people who does a ton of good for the world but doesn't feel the need to broadcast it. She does it because it's the right thing to do. You probably didn't realize that she has literally donated millions of dollars to the Red Cross after horrible disasters like Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Harvey, and the Indonesian Tsunami.
She was the rom-com starlet we all needed starring in hit films like Miss Congeniality and The Proposal. The actress has developed a passionate fan base over the years and cemented herself as a Hollywood A-lister. While we're partial to her comedic roles, Bullock has also proven that is just as skilled in dramas, starring in everything from legal thrillers to playing an astronaut in space. The woman can quite literally do anything.
Here are some things you might not have known about the beloved actress.
1. Both of her children were adopted from Louisiana
After hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, Bullock just had a feeling that was where she was going to find her child. A few years later she adopted a baby boy she named Louis Bardo Bullock. A few years later she adopted a 3-year-old girl who had been living in foster care, daughter Laila Bullock.
It's really a beautiful thing to see a prominent celebrity like Bullock be open about adoption and fully embracing her new role as a mother. You can tell how much she loves her children when she speaks about them in interviews.
"When I look at Laila, there's no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here," Bullock, who in 2010 adopted son Louis, told The Today Show. "I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time."
Though you rarely get to see her kids, Laila made a special appearance on Bullock's Mother's Day interview on Facebook's Red Table Talk.
2. She was once the highest-paid actress in the world
In 2010 and 2014 Bullock was the highest-paid actress not only in the country but the entire world. 2014 was a great year for the star as she had received Oscar buzz for the second time around for her role in the space thriller opposite George Clooney, Gravity. That year she was paid a whopping $51 million, which
3. She's dating a photographer
Bullock has been dating photographer Bryan Randall since 2015 when he was hired to take photos for Bullock's son's birthday party. The two keep their relationship private and the most you'll really see is a family outing to Disneyland together.
4. She had a dramatic ending to her marriage with Jesse James
Shortly after winning the Best Actress Oscar for her role in The Blind Side, it was revealed that Bullock's husband of five years had been unfaithful. Celeb relationships are hard because you're in the spotlight with endless paparazzi pics surfacing left and right. It was a painful experience for Bullock but it led her to adopt her son later that year as she and James had already started the adoption process which continued with after the breakup.
5. She's a genuinely nice person
Birdbox co-star Sarah Paulson told People Magazine that playing Bullock's sister in the thriller was incredibly rewarding. The actress knew everyone on the set and was incredibly gracious with her time.
“It was an incredible thing to see someone who is at the top of their game who has been at the top of their game for a long time, and who is always meeting with a kindness and awareness of other people,” Paulson said.
6. She's really into real estate
In addition to owning multiple properties in Los Angeles, the actress has really gotten into investing in properties around the country. She owns homes in Austin, New York City, New Orleans, Georgia, and apparently even Jackson Hole.
7. She has a restaurant in Austin
Apparently starring in Hope Floats really made Bullock love the state of Texas. Like fellow Hollywood star (and ex-boyfriend) Matthew McConaughey, Bullock spends a lot of time in Austin and even had office space for her production company set up. She was previously the owner of a fine dining restaurant in downtown Austin called Bess Bistro, which has since closed. But Walton's Fancy & Staple is still booming, also downtown. It is a lovely little deli and shop just down the street from where Bess used to be.
8. She's too lazy for social media
Being a major Hollywood star is stressful enough so we really can't blame Bullock for opting out of social media. Though it would be fun to get more glimpses of her family life behind the scenes, it's refreshing that she keeps her personal life the way it should be...personal.

'Home Improvement': Where is the Cast Today?
It's safe to say that the ABC sitcom Home Improvement was one of the pivotal parts of the 90s. Not only did the show air from literally 1991-1999, but across its eight seasons, it was one of the most-watched TV shows in the entire country.
Viewers loved watching comedy genius Tim Allen play Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor. Just your everyday family man in Detroit with a wife and children and his own home improvement show, Tool Time. Over the years, the show won numerous awards including a Golden Globe for Allen, and People's Choice Awards every season it was on the air.
Over 20 years since the beloved series ended, what are its main cast members currently up to?
Tim Allen
Tim Taylor hosts Tool Time with his friend Al who has to regularly remind him of safety regulations when he is demonstrating things on the air. Prone to accidents and mishaps, Tim is fun to watch despite his "know it all" tendencies.
Allen is still making it happen in Los Angeles where he has been filming the second sitcom he's led, Last Man Standing since 2011. Nearly all of his former costars have made appearances on the show. He's also well known for continuing to voice Buzz Lightyear in Disney's Toy Story franchise.
Earl Hindman
Who could forget the neighbor Wilson who you could never get a good look at on the other side of that picket fence? Sweet Wilson, and that is Wilson Wilson, Jr, doesn't show is face a single time during the show's run until the very final curtain call.
Hindman appeared on Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent before he sadly passed away from lung cancer in 2003.
Taran Noah Smith
Mark Taylor is the youngest of the family and relates much better to his mother than his father and brothers. He frequently gets Randy and Brad in trouble and even goes through a "goth" phase when Mark enters high school.
The role of Mark was Smith's only experience as a series regular. His last IMDB credit is a voiceover role in Batman Beyond. Smith literally grew up on camera and decided that ultimately, he didn't want to be an actor. When he was just 17 he married Heidi van Pelt, 16 years his senior and officially retired.
Zachery Ty Bryan
Zachery Bryan plays the oldest brother in the family, Brad Taylor. Brad is the most athletic of the three boys but also gets into the most trouble. Tim relates to Brad the easiest which is probably why he's the only son to ever co-host Tool Time.
The Aurora, Colorado native (outside of Denver) went on to appear on a slew of TV shows -- Family Law, Boston Public, Cold Case, Touched by an Angel, Knight Rider, Veronica Mars, Burn Notice, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the TV movie Code Breakers. He's also appeared in the films Thor: Hammer of the Gods and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
Patricia Richardson
The matriarch of the family, Jill Taylor, really keeps everything together despite being a terrible cook. She even goes after a Master's degree in Psychology because she decides she doesn't like her career. She has a strong personality (probably due to her military upbringing) that sometimes clashes with Tim but in the end, they always prove they are a great match.
Following her Home Improvement days, Richardson continued appearing in successful TV shows including Strong Medicine, The West Wing, and various tv movies including the recent A Very Vintage Christmas.
Richard Karn
Al Borland is Tim's best friend and co-host of Tool Time. He's a little less hip than Tim before he's also the more responsible of the two. He makes less money as Tim's assistant but somehow their relationship works.
Karn has continued to be a successful working actor over the years. He has appeared on The Rosie O'Donnell Show, That '70s Show, The Bold and the Beautiful, and PEN15 on Hulu. He was also the host of Family Feud for multiple years.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas
Jonathan Taylor Thomas was one of the biggest child stars of the '90s. He was the voice of Simba in Disney's Lion King after all. Middle child Randy Taylor is not only the smartest of the bunch but the most mischievous. Thomas left the TV series early in season 8 but made appearances through the end of the series.
Though Thomas mostly retired from acting, he appeared in Veronica Mars, An American Town, Smallville, and Tim Allen's Last Man Standing.

Tina Turner Began Her Solo Career as a Country Singer
Tina Turner's first solo album after a successful run with her then-husband in the Ike & Tina Turner Revue followed the lead of Ray Charles and The Supremes, but not in a way you might expect.
Tina Turns the Country On (1974) followed the lead of prior country-flavored and covers-heavy albums by African American acts: Charles' Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music and its sequel (1962) and The Supremes Sing Country, Western and Pop (1965). Like its predecessors, Turner's debut solo album gained no traction on the country charts despite it being an earnest, well-crafted homage to some of the genre's best songwriters.
The United Artists Records release introduces two fresh cuts: P.J. Morse's "Bayou Song" and Fred and Marsha Karlin's "The Love That Lights Our Way." Beyond those two selections, the track list consists of Turner's renditions of contemporary country and folk songs. Nashville nods include an album-defining cover of Kris Kristofferson's "Help Me Make It Through the Night," plus hat-tips to Dolly Parton ("There'll Always Be Music") and Hank Snow ("I'm Movin' On"). From the folk end of the spectrum comes Turner's versions of James Taylor ("Don't Talk Now") and Bob Dylan ("He Belongs to Me," "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You") songs.
Other selections include the Gary White-penned Linda Ronstadt hit "Long Long Time" and Olivia Newton-John's "If You Love Me (Let Me Know)."
Turner recorded the album at Bolic Sound Studio in Inglewood, Cal. with future Glen Campbell producer Tom Thacker. Her backing band represents West Tennessee's influence on country music and includes rockabilly guitarist James Burton and Elvis Presley and Emmylou Harris bandmate Glen Hardin.
Turner pivoted from country music after just one album, with the covers-heavy A-side of Acid Queen (1975) featuring her interpretations of The Who, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones' classic rock hits. However, there was plenty more country material from the archives of Bolic Sound, as heard on budget CD compilations Tina Turner Sings Country, Soul Deep, Country My Way, Good Hearted Woman, Country In My Soul, Stand By Your Man, Country Classics, You Ain't Woman Enough To Take My Man and The Country Side of Tina Turner.
Although it seems like a side note in history when compared to the sustained influence of Ike duet "Proud Mary" and the future success of "What's Love Got To Do With It" and "Private Dancer," Turner picked up a Grammy nomination (Best R&B Vocal Performance, Female) for her brief detour into folk and country music.

'The Thunder Rolls': The Story Behind Garth Brooks' 1991 No. 1 and its Banned Video
"The Thunder Rolls" has become one of Garth Brooks most beloved country music hits as well as one of his most recognizable. The fourth single from Brooks' 1991 album No Fences was co-writted by the superstar and renowned Nashville songwriter, Pat Alger.
Brooks was just getting started when he sat down with Alger to work on the song. In a 2012 interview with WSLC, Alger explains that Brooks found inspiration for the original concept of the song from another song that Alger had written.
"I’d written a song with Mark Sanders, who’s a great songwriter, and he’s a good friend. We’d written a song called ‘Like a Hurricane’ that Kathy Mattea had recorded. It was the B-side of ’18 Wheels and a Dozen Roses.’ There’s a line about thunder rolling in the song. Garth had been listening to that song – he’d been listening to stuff that (producer) Allen Reynolds had given him. He came in and said, ‘What if we write a song about somebody who’s cheating on his wife, and every time he does it, the thunder rolls.’ And I kind of laughed."
Though he initially thought the idea was a joke, the two men sat down to discuss the idea and actually made it work and ended up with something really special.
"And when we wrote it, I really did think it was kind of different, Alger continued. "And of course we were trying to pitch that song immediately. We were trying to get Reba McEntire and Tanya Tucker to record that.”
Tucker ended up initially attaching herself to the song, but her producer Jerry Crutchfield felt like the song was finished and requested a third verse. Though Tucker did end up recording her own version, it was dropped from her initial album so Brooks decided to make his own recording.
The original single didn't include the fourth verse that Brooks had added, which added a darker tone to the story. When the music video captured the full story that centered on a cheating husband coming home to his wife after being wife another woman, it was considered incredibly controversial. Some networks, including CMT wouldn't even air it.
“She runs back down the hallway, and through the bedroom door
She reaches for the pistol, kept in the dresser drawer
Tells the lady in mirror, he won’t do this again
‘Cause tonight will be the last time, she’ll wonder where he’s been.”
But women's shelters were supportive of the song and video, claiming that it was raising awareness for domestic violence. Though this notorious extra verse was not in a recording, the "Friends In Low Places" singer regularly performs the song in its entirety at live performances for his fans. Despite all of the controversy at the time, the music video won the CMA Video of the Year award as well as a Grammy nomination.
"The Thunder Rolls" Lyrics
Three thirty in the morning
Not a soul in sight
The city's lookin' like a ghost town
On a moonless summer night
Raindrops on the windshield
There's a storm movin' in
He's headin' back from somewhere
That he never should have been
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls
Every light is burnin'
In a house across town
She's pacin' by the telephone
In her faded flannel gown
Askin' for a miracle
Hopin' she's not right
Prayin' it's the weather
That's kept him out all night
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls
The thunder rolls
And the lightnin' strikes
Another love grows cold
On a sleepless night
As the storm blows on
Out of control
Deep in her heart
The thunder rolls
She's waitin' by the window
When he pulls into the drive
She rushes out to hold him
Thankful he's alive
But on the wind and rain
A strange new perfume blows
And the lightnin' flashes in her eyes
And he knows that she knows
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls
The thunder rolls
And the lightnin' strikes
Another love grows cold
On a sleepless night
As the storm blows on
Out of control
Deep in her heart
The thunder rolls

Jennifer Landon, Teeter on 'Yellowstone,' is Michael Landon's Daughter
Yellowstone had the bunkhouse rattled with the addition of the rough and daring new ranch hand, Teeter, played by actress Jennifer Landon, in season 3. Landon was definitely ready for the challenges she would face working on the Dutton family ranch; she had been trained on soap operas after all which is basically acting boot camp.
As the daughter of the beloved TV actor Michael Landon, Landon was destined to end up a TV star. She grew up in the prestigious Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, her first acting gig as a little girl on her father's show, Highway to Heaven, after he had already made a name for himself starring in Little House On The Prairie and Bonanza. Though her father passed away when she was only eight years old, she continued acting. She even studied at the prestigious New York University in New York City before returning to make a name for herself in Hollywood.
Landon went on to win three consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Gwen Norbeck Munson in the CBS soap, As The World Turns. She even went on to play Heather Stevens on The Young and the Restless as well as made appearances on House, Days of Our Lives, Banshee, Chicago Med, and Animal Kingdom.
But there is no doubt that Landon will be known for her current role on the Paramount Network's hit TV show Yellowstone opposite incredible actors like Kevin Costner and Cole Hauser. Teeter was a quick fan favorite as soon as she first appeared on the Dutton Ranch and as Landon tells Decider, it's unclear if she'll ever top the role.
"Yellowstone‘s amazing. I’m a lunchbox actor. Each job is a job fought for and a job got. So after all that hard work, to get something like Yellowstone and to get to work Taylor Sheridan, who I have tremendous respect for, and with actors of this caliber, it’s a no-brainer. Plus, I don’t know if I’ll ever audition for a part as cool as Teeter for the rest of my life. And I’m kind of okay with that."
Teeter's character offered a powerful female addition to Yellowstone season 3's cast. Landon explains that when she first auditioned for the role, she used chewing gum as dip, which got added to the character's storyline on the show.
"Teeter is gender defying in a lot of ways. The pink hair was in the character description based on somebody Taylor knows. What wasn’t in the character description was dipping tobacco. When I auditioned for the role, I used chewing gum as a substitute for dip and wore a baseball cap."

Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani: Inside Their Love Story
One of the best parts of watching NBC's The Voice is watching Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's relationship. While pairing might have seemed odd at fire, we love watching their love and we're totally rooting for the musical couple.
The two met for the first time on the set of The Voice. Stefani had just embarked on a solo career from her band, No Doubt, and joined fellow coaches Shelton, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams on Season 7. She had also just had a baby with her husband Gavin Rossdale, so she wasn't really able to bond with her costars. Any downtime was spent on baby duty.
Everything changed during Season 8 in the summer of 2015 when both Shelton and Stefani went through divorces. Shelton ended his four-year marriage with Miranda Lambert. Stefani ended her 13-year marriage with Rossdale that resulted in three sons.
The pair leaned on each other during that time and found a real connection. Big fans of Stefani probably never would have dreamed she'd end up with a country singer, but the pair seems pretty perfect. By November of 2015, Shelton and Stefani were officially a couple.
The following year, the couple made their big red carpet debut at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. Shelton told Billboard that Gwen saved him.
"Gwen saved my life. Who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile divorce from another musician? You can't even imagine the similarities in our divorces."
A couple of years later, the couple is still going strong when Shelton lands the coveted title of People's Sexiest Man Alive. The country star credited Stefani for convincing him to accept the honor.
“She goes, ‘Listen to me, you’re going to regret this for the rest of your life if you don’t take this gift and just live in the moment.”
The Oklahoma native has also really hit it off with Stefani's sons, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. He's stepped into the "stepdad" role seamlessly.
Shelton and Stefani announced their engagement in Ocobter.
"Thanks for saving my 2020...And the rest of my life," Shelton wrote to his bride-to-be in a sweet social media post.
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Cole Hauser + Cynthia Daniel: Inside the 'Yellowstone' Star's Real Life Love Story
Though we love watching Cole Hauser's on-screen love story as Rip Wheeler in Yellowstone opposite Kelly Reilly's Beth Dutton, in reality, he's been happily married to the same woman since 2006, former actress Cynthia Daniel.
If Cynthia looks familiar, that's because she's best known for her childhood acting days where she and her twin sister, Brittany Daniel, co-starred in the TV series, Sweet Valley High. Prior to starring as Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield in the show, which was based on the book series by Francine Pascal, the twins were also recognizable from their series of commercials playing the Doublemint Twins for Doublemint Gum.
After her Sweet Valley High School days, Cynthia only appeared in The Basketball Diaries opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and her sister's series That '80s Show before she officially retired from acting. Her sister Brittany you most likely recognize from TV shows like The Game and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. She's also known for the comedy films Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser and White Chicks as well as the sitcom Blackish.
After Cynthia retired from acting in 2002, the Gainesville, Florida native married actor Cole Hauser. She became a professional photographer and started her own business, Five Arrows Photography. Though we don't know the specifics of how they came together, the couple tied the knot on December 22, 2006, and have since welcomed three children -- sons Colt and Ryland and daughter, Steely Rose.
While her husband is busy on set, Cynthia, or "Cyn" as her family and friends call her, definitely keeps busy. She and Brittany have been working on their own lifestyle blog, Sweet Collection XO, where they share a little bit of everything including family photos from vacations. They are also actively involved with Stand Up To Cancer since Brittany previously battled stage IV non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Andy Griffith's 1953 Comedy Bit 'What it Was, Was Football' Still Makes Us Laugh
Andy Griffith was one of the biggest television stars during the 1960s, reaching peak fame from his starring role in The Andy Griffith Show. But did you know that before his successful acting career he rose to fame as a monologist?
One of his most successful monologues was "What It Was, Was Football" which follows a country preacher who accidentally finds himself at a football game and doesn't really know what to make of it. The original recording was produced in North Carolina and mass-produced by Capitol Records in 1953.
The performance charted at number 9 on the billboards and was instrumental in boosting Griffith's television and comedy career. It even landed him an appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1954. The script of the monologue was printed in Mad magazine in 1958 and even turned into a short film in 1997.
Watch the full monologue to see Griffith's hilarious performance or read it below.
“What It Was, Was Football”
It was back last October, I believe it was.
We was going to hold a tent service off at this college town, and we got there about dinnertime on Saturday. Different ones of us thought that we ought to get us a mouthful to eat before we set up the tent.
So we got off the truck and followed this little bunch of people through this small little bitty patch of woods there, and we come up on a big sign. It says, “Get Something to Eat Here.”
I went up and got me two hot dogs and a big orange drink, and before I could take a mouthful of that food, this whole raft of people come up around me and got me to where I couldn’t eat nothing, up like, and I dropped my big orange drink. I did.
Well, friends, they commenced to move, and there wasn’t so much that I could do but move with them.
Well, we commenced to go through all kinds of doors and gates and I don’t know what-all, and I looked up over one of ’em and it says, “North Gate.” We kept on a-going through there, and pretty soon we come up on a young boy and he says, “Ticket, please.”
And I says, “Friend, I don’t have a ticket; I don’t even know where it is that I’m a-going!” I did.
Well, he says, “Come out as quick as you can.”
And I says, “I’ll do ’er; I’ll turn right around the first chance I get.”
Well, we kept on a-moving through there, and pretty soon everybody got where it was that they was a-going, because they parted and I could see pretty good. I could. And what I seen was this whole raft of people a-sittin’ on these two banks and a-lookin’ at one another across this pretty little green cow pasture. Well, they was.
Somebody had took and drawed white lines all over it and drove posts in it, and I don’t know what-all, and I looked down there, and I seen five or six convicts a-running up and down and a-blowing whistles. They was. And then I looked down there, I seen these pretty girls wearin’ these little bitty short dresses and a-dancing around, and so I sit down and thought I’d see what it was that was a-going to happen. I did.
About the time I got set down good, I looked down there and I seen 30 or 40 men come a-runnin’ out of one end of a great big outhouse down there. They did. And everybody where I was a-settin’ got up and hollered! And about that time, 30 or 40 come runnin’ out of the other end of that outhouse, and the other bank-full, they got up and hollered.
And I asked this fella that was a sittin’ beside of me, “Friend, what is it that they’re a-hollerin’ for?”
Well, he whopped me on the back and he says, “Buddy, have a drink!” “Well,” I says, “I believe I will have another big orange.” And I got it and set back down.
When I got there again I seen that them men had got in two little bitty bunches down there real close together, and they voted. They did. They voted and elected one man apiece, and them two men come out in the middle of that cow pasture and shook hands like they hadn’t seen one another in a long time.
Then a convict come over to where they was a-standin’, and he took out a quarter, and they commenced to odd man right there! They did. After a while I seen what it was they was odd-manning for. It was that both bunches-full of them men wanted this funny-lookin’ little punkin to play with. They did.
And I know, friends, that they couldn’t eat it because they kicked it the whole evenin’ and it never busted.
But, anyhow, what I was telling was, both bunches-full wanted that thing. One bunch got it and it made the other bunch just as mad as they could be! Friends, I seen that evenin’ the awfulest fight that I have ever seen in all my life! I did!
They would run at one another and kick one another and throw one another down and stomp on one another and grind their feet in one another and I don’t know what-all and just as fast as one of ’em would get hurt, they’d tote him off and run another one on!
Well, they done that as long as I set there, but pretty soon this boy that had said “Ticket, please,” he come up to me and he says, “Friend, you’re gonna have to leave because it is that you don’t have a ticket.”
And I says, “Well, all right.” And I got up and left.
I don’t know, friends, to this day what it was that they was a-doin’ down there, but I have studied about it. I think it was that it’s some kindly of a contest where they see which bunch-full of them men can take that punkin and run from one end of that cow pasture to the other without gettin’ knocked down or steppin’ in somethin’.

'Yellowstone': Cole Hauser Brings Tough-as-Nails Ranch Hand Rip Wheeler to Life
Paramount Network's hit show Yellowstone is full of complicated characters. Kevin Costner's character John Dutton and the rest of the Dutton family definitely have a lot going on. But the family ranch is really held together with the help of longtime friend of the family Rip Wheeler, played by Cole Hauser.
Cole Kenneth Hauser was no stranger to Hollywood growing up in Santa Barbara, California. His mother Cass Warner founded the production company, Warner Sisters, and his father Wings Hauser, was also an actor. Yes, that would be Warner of Warner Bros. His great-grandfather Harry Warner was a founding partner of the massive company. So when Hauser dropped out of high school to pursue an acting career, he probably didn't have anything to worry about.
His film debut was in School Ties alongside future stars Brendan Fraser, Matt Damon, Chris O'Donnell, and Ben Affleck. Soon after he appeared in Richard Linklater's Dazed and Confused and Good Will Hunting with his old friends Matt and Ben. Hauser went on to make his rounds in action films like Pitch Black, the Bruce Willis war film Hart's War, and 2 Fast 2 Furious, A Good Day to Die Hard, Olympus Has Fallen, and Acts of Violence.
Before Yellowstone, Hauser also made his rounds on TV. In the 90s, he was a lead on the Steven Speilberg ABC TV series, High Incident, and later appeared on Rogue and the Lifetime limited series, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles.
But fans are currently loving Hauser in the role of Rip Wheeler, foreman of the Dutton Ranch, and John's number two man. His co-stars include the other Dutton men played by Luke Grimes and Wes Bentley, and John's daughter Beth Dutton played by Kelly Reilly. Beth and Rip have an on again off again relationship which is incredibly engrossing to watch.
In an interview with ScreenRant, Hauser explains that at first there is some tension between his character and Kayce when he returns to the family ranch, but in the end, he loves everyone in the family after knowing them for so many years.
"I think what’s interesting about our relationship is it is a big brother-little brother relationship, and there is some obvious residue from him leaving the ranch and kind of not helping his father when I think he should have. But in the end, I think Rip loves each and every one of his sons like he does John, and obviously he has a tremendous amount of love for Beth. So I don’t think he’s the kind of person that goes, “I’m gonna put myself in the middle of this and stand on my own two feet.” It’s been happening for thirty years."
It seems like it's really a dream show with everyone excited to be there. But Houser told CinemaBlend that there are a few difficulties that come with filming a show that is mostly featured outdoors. His least favorite part of filming is definitely the weather.
"Uh, when it gets like early December and it’s freezing, and you’re sitting on a horse, freezing to death with the horse. The horse is shaking, and you’re shaking with it. Waiting for them to say 'action.'"
Yellowstone season 3 is currently underway and there have already been multiple things going on with Beth and Rip's relationship. We're excited to see what's in store for the rest of the season!

Dolly Parton's Siblings: Then and Now
Dolly Rebecca Parton has been open about her tough upbringing. She even made film, Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors, inspired by her experiences. Growing up in a house of 12 children in a one-room cabin in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains is no picnic. Despite having close to nothing, the country star was raised learning to sing in the church and followed her dreams by hitting the Nashville music scene at the age of 13 with her first performance at the Grand Ole Opry. Inspiring millions with her rags to riches journey, Dolly Parton has become a rhinestone clad national treasure.
But Dolly is not the only successful Parton child. Music was part of the entire Parton family upbringing in their Tennessee home. Where did Dolly Parton's siblings end up after she made it big in Nashville and Hollywood?
ADVERTISING
Larry Parton
Unfortunately for parents Avie Lee and Robert Lee Parton, Larry died as an infant at only 4 days old when Dolly was only 9 years old.
Stella Parton
Stella Parton is no stranger to the country music scene. With her own 40 years of experience, she has created her own path as a country singer and even had some successful songs in the 1970s.
Randy Parton
Randy is a singer and performer, but his big claim to fame is his big mishap with the Roanoke Rapids Theatre in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina (which used to be the Randy Parton Theatre). Parton signed a million-dollar deal to manage and perform in the theatre and it didn't quite work out for him.
Rachel Dennison
The youngest of the Parton siblings, Dennison is a retired actress-singer, best known for her starring role in the 1980s sitcom "Nine to Five." She also performs with her siblings from time to time.
Willadeene Parton
Willadeene became an author, publishing Smoky Mountain Memories: Stories from the Hearts of the Parton Family, which tells stories of the Parton family upbringing. She also wrote a cookbook, All-Day Singing & Dinner on the Ground
Freida Estelle
Younger sister Freida starting out singing back up for Dolly and tried making it as a punk rock singer in the 1980s. She opened a wedding chapel and is an ordained minister, so if you've ever dreamed of having Dolly Parton officiate your wedding, it sounds like this is the next best thing.
Robert Lee, David, and Coy Parton
These three stayed pretty private and out of show business, so not much is known about them. They can occasionally be seen accompanying Dolly to events.
Floyd Parton
Floyd also pursued music and turned out to be a talented songwriter. He penned multiple songs for Dolly including, "Rockin' Years," "Nickles and Dimes," and "Waltz Me to Heaven."
Cassie Nan
Cassie is also a singer/performer, though a bit more low key than some of her other siblings. She has performed shows at Dollywood with multiple siblings including Randy and Rachel.
