Why I decided to make a shark film?
It started with the location. I have a house on the coast of Ecuador where I visit every year. It’s in a small fishing village of Playas. So it’s not your typical beach town. I always liked the way the town felt. It’s not really touristy. There’s people visiting from other parts of Ecuador but there aren’t many international tourists. So the idea for this film started because I wanted to film something in our little town of Playas. Over the years I did various small camera tests there but never a full story. So I started writing a script about a couple that goes on vacation to Playas but they are bored, not really sure what to do. Of course then I needed something to go wrong. If nothing goes wrong then there is no story. If you think about it every film or book or any other type of story essentially has the same basic element. Something goes wrong. That’s what makes your characters go on a journey trying to overcome or fix whatever went wrong.
So while walking around Playas, I always noticed the fishing boats and the fisherman that go out daily for their catch. So naturally I thought, what if my characters go out on a boat and get stuck there. They need a rescue. Then I thought of several reasons why that is and in the end I decided to add a shark to make the film more suspenseful. So in a way you can say my film is about people that get stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean and there happens to be a shark around. The shark is not the main reason behind the story and it’s not the main character.
Personally I’ve swam in many places where there are a lot of sharks and I know they’re not some evil creatures like most shark films make them out to be. They are just animals living by their compulsions. They don’t go around thinking who they can kill today. In fact most shark encounters that people have are friendly. But if you happen to come across a shark that is hungry and you are bleeding or have something shiny on you, especially during dusk or dawn then your chance of getting attacked by a shark increases. That’s because most shark attacks are because they mistake a human being for a fish they would rather eat. Also in most cases after a single bite, sharks leave people alone since apparently we don’t taste good to them. Go figure!
So that’s how I came up with the story for my shark film. The title of my film is “Shark Bait”. Hope you guys want to see the whole film and also how I made it. Filming it was fun, at times hilarious but also scary. Very scary! In my next video about the making of “Shark Bait”, I will share with you guys exactly how I shot this film and how you guys can do something similar even if you got little or no money. So definitely subscribe, hit that like button and keep on checking back on my YouTube channel for future videos.

Huion Kamvas 13 Pen Display Hands-On Review
Huion Kamvas 13 Pen Display is a ultra portable way to be able to create digital artwork on your laptop ⬇️More INFO below⬇️
Huion Kamvas 13 Pen Display is available here:
B&H ➡ https://bhpho.to/3LvtZ0g
Amazon ➡ https://amzn.to/3ZFI3uh
Amazon Canada ➡ https://amzn.to/3Q7TCXY
Amazon UK ➡ https://amzn.to/3RJ9bq8
Amazon Germany ➡ https://amzn.to/3F7vA95
My LUTs and tutorials ➡ https://tomantosfilms.com/store/
My filmmaking gear kit ➡ https://kit.co/TomAntos
This display comes with a 13.3 inch large screen that has 1920 by 1080p resolution. It is an IPS display that is fully laminated to minimize the parallax. On the left side of the screen you’ll find 8 customizable shortcut buttons plus a power button. On the right side of the screen there are 2 USB Type C ports.
The included pen is battery free and has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity with 60° of tilt support and two customizable buttons. Included is also a drawing glove and a pen stand that also hold the extra pen nibs.
In short here is what i think of this pen display:
Pros:
Single cable connection
No noticeable parallax
Has 8 customizable buttons and a scroll wheel
Pen doesn’t need to be charged
Cons:
No stand included
Overall this display has decent color and sharpness. The size makes it comfortable to read text or navigate menus. Calibration of the screen was easy but setting up the pen pressure did give me problems. I finally got it working in Photoshop and a few other programs but inside the Huion setup app it still didn’t recognise the pen pressure. Pen is very accurate however and responsive. I wish the stand was included but otherwise it’s a good pen display for both beginners and professionals.

Video by Booth Junkie where he compares Synco D2 to MKH 416
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmJeMzl0JZI&t=288s
Key Features
-For Indie Films, TV & Documentaries
-48V Phantom Powered
-Hypercardioid Polar Pattern
-Built-In Bass Boost
-High Resistance to Interference
-High Maximum SPL Before Distortion
-XLR Output with Gold-Plated Contacts
-Windscreen Reduces Wind Noise
-Lightweight Brass Housing
-Includes Mic Holder and XLR Cable
The Synco Mic-D2 shotgun microphone features a hypercardioid polar pattern to deliver sharpened frontal focus and side rejection compared to supercardioid shotguns, allowing it to capture clear, quality dialogue and sound effects for independent filmmakers, videographers, and broadcasters.
The lightweight body is constructed from CNC-machined brass for improved resistance to interference and durability. The black speckle finish reduces reflectivity to ensure visual discretion during video shoots.
With strong sensitivity and high maximum SPL handling, the Mic-D2 provides robust distortion-free signal. Its circuit utilizes a built-in bass boost to enhance low-frequency detail. The microphone's XLR output and included XLR cable enable standardized hookup to mic preamps, mixers, and a variety of portable audio recorders. It is operated via 48V phantom power, so no batteries are required.
Tight Sound Pickup
Whereas traditional shotgun mics use supercardioid polar patterns, the Mic-D2 utilizes a hypercardioid pickup pattern to provide even tighter frontal focus, more attenuation at the sides, and slightly increased rear pickup, making it an ideal choice for recording in indoor or outdoor environments.
The Mic-D2's circuit employs a built-in bass boost to enhance the detail of low-frequency sources, lending its tone to complement sound effects as well as dialogue.
48V Phantom Powered
With its balanced 3-pin XLR output and 48V phantom powering, the Mic-D2 can be used with an array of handheld audio recorders, field recorders, and mixer adapters as well as built-in preamps on many camcorders. The XLR connector's gold-plated contacts improve conductivity to maintain the integrity of your signal.
Ideal for Boompole Mounting
Lightweight and nearly 10" long, the Mic-D2 is well suited for use on a boompole or mic stand. It includes a mic holder with 5/8" and 3/8" options for mounting versatility.
Windscreen Minimizes Wind Noise
The Mic-D2 includes a foam windscreen to reduce unwanted wind noise from breezes, fans, heaters, and air conditioners.

The Rode Wireless ME is a streamlined and easy-to-use wireless microphone system that lets content creators, vloggers, influencers, and mobile journalists at all experience levels quickly and confidently incorporate hands-free wireless audio into their productions—regardless of whether they're shooting on a camera, tablet, or mobile device. In addition to the clip-on microphone/transmitter, the two-channel receiver also sports a built-in mic, making it possible to record audio from the camera operator—great for interviews and documentaries.
Boasting secure Series IV 2.4 GHz digital transmission at a range of up to 328 feet, the single-channel system is ready upon powering up, with no menus and or finicky dials to worry about—just instant functionality with easy-to-see LEDs that provide critical information at a glance. When you're ready for more, use Rode's companion apps to access a powerful feature set and customize your settings.
Mobile journalists, influencers, and vloggers will appreciate the pocket- and bag-friendly portability. The transmitter and receiver are so tiny and lightweight, the subject and camera operator will forget they're even there.
Courtesy of Rode's optimized transmission algorithm, the Wireless ME empowers you with a line-of-sight range of up to 328 feet and bolsters signal dependability to mitigate drop-outs in crowded short-range environments such as retail stores, malls, office buildings, and hotels. For optimal performance, users are encouraged to maintain as direct a line of sight as possible between the transmitter and receiver.
