Recently I tested out a new vehicle camera mount from iFootage which uses their new Spider Crab magic arms. I honestly didn't know much about this new kit and did not expect anything drastically new. iFootage is a company that I like because all their products are solidly build. Thinking this would be another camera car mount that is built better then some of the others I tried before I began my test. Very quickly I realized that the Spider Crab kit has a lot of genius new inventions that make this system so much faster and easier to work with. First of all you can assemble and disassemble this whole kit without the use of any tools. Not only that but this car mount is very solid. I also feel like the camera is a lot safer on this rig because each thread is locked in thanks to 2 pins that stick out on each side. Another great improvement is the ability to separate the threads from the magic arm using their quick release mount. I also

Nanlux Evoke 1200 vs Aputure's Most Powerful LED Light
Nanlux Evoke 1200 LED Light is right now one of the most powerful LED lights designed for filmmakers. So how does it compare to Aputure's strongest light? ⬇️More INFO below⬇️

Seems like for indie filmmakers and video production companies it is no longer cost effective or logistically feasible to rent big and power hungry HMI Par lights. These days there is a big selection of powerful LED lights that start to match the output of traditional HMI lights.
Evoke 1200 LED Light from Nanlux is one such light. It has a daylight color temperature of 5600K and a high CRI/TLCI rating of 96/97 to indicate precise accuracy in color rendition. The fixture with yoke measures 19.8 x 14.5 x 8.3" and will give you 18,400 Lux with the included 45° reflector, rivaling the output of a 1.2K incandescent fixture. It is dimmable from 0 to 100% and you can make power adjustments and turn the unit on and off locally on the light as well as from a remote console or wirelessly via 2.4 GHz signal, Bluetooth, DMX/RDM, or LumenRadio. You can turn the quiet fan off for in sound-sensitive situations.
One of the many benefits is a library of special effects including INT Loop, Flash, Pulse, Storm, TV, Paparazzi, Candle/Fire, Bad Bulb, Fireworks, Explosion, and Welding. The light is ready for worldwide use thanks to its universal power supply, but it can also run on optional batteries when mains current is unavailable. Optional accessories include a variety of softboxes and the FL-35 Fresnel lens.

How to Create a Website - Creating a website for Garage Filmmakers!
Check out Wix http://www.wix.com/TomAntos
You can see our finished website for Garage Filmmakers here: https://www.garagefilmmakers.com ⬇️More INFO below⬇️
I have joined forces with a few other filmmakers to form Garage Filmmakers. We have produced together lots of music videos along with various films and commercials. So far we have mainly worked within North and South America and now we want to attract clients from all over the world. In an effort to get the word out and to show off our skills we knew we needed a website. I've used Wix before to build my personal website so I have decided to give them another shot. Well that plus the fact that Wix has offered to sponsor this video! This video shows you how I build our new website from scratch but as you will see the final website differs a lot from the one I did in this tutorial. That's because I ended up adjusting a lot of things once I got some feedback from friends. This tutorial is around 16 minutes long but to build my final website it actually took me almost 4 days as I constantly went back and forth making adjustments. So while it's not fast or easy making a good website. I can say that Wix does make it as painless as possible. First of all I don't know much about HTML or coding and the templates they offer really allow someone like me to build a website purely visually. I'm an artist and I just want to quickly adjust the position of graphics and size of text etc. Wix really does make that part easy. Not to mention they start you off with a great template. One thing you will still need to do is to create your own videos, photos and text copy that make your website original. So while it's still hard and takes a long time to make a good website, it's actually fun. I felt like I was adjusting things in Photoshop until each page looked how I wanted it to look.

------------------------------------------------
The anamorphic revolution continues with the new Sirui 75mm Anamorphic lens.
This is the 4th lens from Sirui that has made anamorphic video both affordable and easy.
Sirui just released the amazing 75mm F1.8 anamorphic lens that also has a 1.33 times squeez aspect. This means that when shooting with this lens, just like on all their other lenses, you get a 33% horizontal field of view increase. This lens works on MFT and APS-C cameras which shoot in standard 16 by 9 aspect ratio. The final image will be de-squeezed by 1.33 times which results in a ultra-wide cinemascope video with an aspect ratio of 2.4:1
The wider aspect ratio is not the only reason why most people choose to shoot with anamorphic lenses. Some of the other anamorphic characteristics that this lens produces are those beautiful oval bokeh highlights. This lens has 13 aperture blades which is why it produces perfectly smooth and natural looking bokeh.
Another characteristic are the typical horizontal lens flares. What I do love about this lens is that aside from the blue light streaks it also produces very organic looking secondary flares and light blooms. By having a light source hit the front of the lens at an angle you can produce beautiful glows and haze effects that take away a bit of that digital edge from today’s ultra high definition cameras.
Another great thing about the Sirui 75mm lens is that it’s surprisingly sharp considering it has actual anamorphic optics inside. Unlike standard spherical lenses, most anamorphic lenses suffer from terrible softness specially when shooting wide open. Well this lens can deliver relatively sharp images when shooting wide open at F1.8 but once you close the lens down just one F-stop you will notice it’s as sharp as any good spherical lens.
Now if you want that soft and shallow depth of field then this lens will deliver even better than the previous lenses from Sirui. Considering it is a longer focal length of 75mm and that it’s an anamorphic lens, you will not have any problems getting that very narrow focus that creates a nice separation from the background and foreground.
Even when I was shooting with this lens on a micro four thirds camera I was able to get a shallow depth of field both when my subject was close to the lens or even as far as 20 feet away. If you get the APS-C version of this lens that will be even more noticeable.

How To Direct A Cinematic Commercial | Job Shadow
This video is sponsored by Storyblocks https://storyblocks.com/TomAntos

⬇️More INFO below⬇️
Creating a compelling commercial has lots of moving parts but none is more important than this one often forgotten point. Often people working on a commercial get lost in creating beautiful cinematography. Capturing great sounds. Doing an exciting edit and many other technical aspect. While all of that is very important, I think the most important is to come up with a solid and clear vision for your commercial and then always stick to it all the way in the editing process. The mood of your commercial can change drastically if you suddenly change up the pace of the edit. Same if you decide to add exciting music or sound effects. Even just the way you move the camera can convey many different emotions.
