What is "Trickle-Down Economics"? Well we will find out here in a response to a CollegeHumor video with Robin Hood. There has been a lot of misinformation and strawmanning from the term trickle down economics and I am here to set things straight. A term that has often been used to criticize Republican President Ronald Reagan's economic policy of supply side economics in the 80's. The strawman was that the wealthy would spend leading to the wealth trickling down, hence the name through low taxes and deregulation. Conservatives, libertarians, liberals, Keynesians and leftists have been arguing what we should do about the economy whether through taxes, regulation, nationalisation, privatisation and other methods in politics. Trickle-down economics (political ideology) explained. Supply-side economics argues tax cuts and deregulation will help boost the economy.
