Why Do I Use 12-18" As The Standard In My Gel Tests?

In this video, I talk about some of the reasons why I use a penetration standard of 12-18" in all of my gel tests. This number came from a paper done by the FBI as a basis for handguns, however I believe that penetration is just as important when it comes to rifles and shotguns as well.
