Many perceive that being shy is natural and that it has something to do with someones personality. This is not true.

Being shy for the vast majority stems from the fact, that we are taught from early on not to
express ourselves fully.

We are taught to choose our words carefully and not show how we really feel. In other words -
never show who you truly are.

For many this creates a shut down, where they become afraid to connect with others for the fear of saying or doing the wrong thing. Society calls this being shy.
