Validated By God

Are you trying to fit in? Why? Why should you try to fit in when you were born to stand out? So many of us are on “Social Media” and I wonder how many times we post things for reason of being “self-validated”. We show case ourselves with “selfies” and post videos of all of our talents. Sometimes we are even mistaken for being conceited, when really we are trying to fill a human condition of being valuable, visible and validated by others. We do have the need to be valued and there are some seasons in life where we do feel very invisible.

Self-validation is sometimes the very opposite of being conceited, it is that we have a poor self-image, we don’t believe in ourselves, we don’t particularly like ourselves, and we need that self-affirmation that a selfie or a video post brings to us. We are human and we have the need to be visible, viable, validated and valued by other people. A lot of us use social media to self-validate ourselves. Many people are self-validating and show casing who they think they are based on their looks and talents. This is a very common place thing in our society and has very little to do with conceit.

People that are soul wounded have a gaping hole in their soul that even self-validation can’t fill, their self-image will leak out of their soul, leaving a very needy person. Only God can heal your soul. People pleasing makes soul wounded people feel whole, it is a fake reality that the enemy sets up as a trap. They are happy and validated by people when they get “likes” on their posts. Some people live for the “likes”, especially if they are soul wounded, they really need them to boost up their self-image so they don’t crash and burn emotionally. This kind of pushing forward a fake façade of ourselves, helps to distract us, so we don’t have to deal with the wounds of our soul and they get worse and worse as we get more and more addicted to the “likes” on social media. I liken it to working really hard to kindle a fire, so you can walk by the light of it, yet a man-made fire always flames out and leaves you in the dark. If you are soul wounded, confused and anxious, don’t look to self-validation to soothe these things, it will be a temporary fix, but the permanent ache will return with a vengeance. Only God can heal a soul, and fill you to overflowing joy.

The first people who were tricked by self-validation were Adam and Eve in the Garden. They had everything they needed, yet the enemy of their soul tricked them into thinking if they had more knowledge, they could be self-validated, self-dependent and show case an even greater wisdom than what they thought they had. The enemy said they needed more and it was God who was holding them back. We blame God for a lot of things, especially for our brokenness and wounded souls, but we see that here with humanity, in the human condition, making the wrong choices is where brokenness began. Consequences of sin are far, far reaching. Self-Validation does not fix brokenness, it just adds to it.

Putting our identity wholly-holy in God, letting Him shape our lives, letting Him light up our lives, this is our true self-validation, in Christ Jesus. This identity doesn’t need the perfect selfie or snap chat of ourselves and we don’t have to light our own fire that flames upward and then out, we don’t need “likes”, and we can have an anointing on us, a God flame that comes down upon us that heals, restores and revives our soul and brings incredible glory to God as He validates our lives, as He “Lights Up” our lives. Don’t be tricked by the enemy of your soul, to choose the fire that goes up instead of the fire that comes down from God.

Don’t underestimate the glory of God in you and through you and the next time you post on Social Media, let it be all about Him, that is a flame that no man can extinguish, the glory of the one Who is validated by God alone. God bless you. Go… light up your world. Enfuego! https://rumble.com/vdwwsr-attractive-anointing.html
