An elderly woman was taken to hospital after crashing her Tesla car - into a furniture shop showroom.

The car crashed into Arlo & Jacob on Whiteladies Road in Clifton in Bristol around 4.30pm on Monday.

It caused extensive damage to the front window and furniture at the front of the upmarket store.

The OAP driver was taken to hospital as a precaution but it thought to have not suffered any injuries.

A younger woman was also treated at the scene by an ambulance but her injuries are not believed to be serious.

Avon and Somerset Police received the call-out at 4.37pm and Avon Fire and Rescue Service were also attended the scene.

Arlo & Jacob is a luxury furniture store and one of their sofas can be seen in pieces in the image.
