APRIL 04, 2022

- Kansas scores largest comeback in NCAA Title game history, defeating North Carolina by 3 points, after trailing by 16 points late in the first half.

- As predicted, David McCormack neutralized Armando Bacot and his sprained right ankle from 48 hours ago. Bacot still got his big double-double, 15/15, but shot a paltry 3/13 from the floor. His scoring came largely from the charity stripe, where he converted 9/13. He is a very talented big man, for sure.

It came down to turnovers and poor shooting for the Tar Heels. I said before the game that Kansas’ calling card was its defense and athleticism. North Carolina doesn’t have a good point guard and he blew it for them down the stretch as he coughed the basketball up twice in the waning moments. Caleb Love was hounded into a miserable night shooting the basketball, as he made just 5/24 shots on the night, including the final miss as regulation expired.
