The emperor tamarin (Saguinus imperator) is a species of tamarin supposedly named for its resemblance to the German Emperor Wilhelm II. [2] It lives in the states of Acre and Amazonas in western Brazil [1] and in the southwest of the Amazon Basin, in eastern Peru, northern Bolivia.

The coat of the Emperor Tamarin is predominantly gray, with yellowish spots on the chest. The hands and feet are black and the tail is brown. His long white beard stands out, which extends to both sides beyond his shoulders. The animal reaches a length of 23 to 26 centimeters (9 to 10 inches), as well as a long tail of 35 to 41.5 cm (13.8 to 16.3 inches). [2] Weighs approximately 500 grams
