The giant chontacuro (palm-cure) is a giant maggot that is eaten by indigenous people in the Amazon rainforest . Often grilled (quite delicious), it is often eaten raw as a treatment for sore throat and respiratory problems. Well…today I have a sore throat. And I’m in the Amazon. Sooooo….
