Tampa Bay Captains Discuss Red Tide and Pollution Problems

I met with Captain Dustin Pack of Tampa Bay Waterkeeper to discuss the issues facing Tampa Bay concerning pollution and red tide. It is important to spread the word about the problems the state of Florida is experiencing within its coastal communities. Water quality should be a priority for everyone. The red tide in Tampa Bay in 2021 was the worst the area has ever seen. Following the phosphate waste water spill at Piney Point in March, we slowly saw the red tide start to bloom and eventually explode.
