Laptop and cellphone repair is one of the few businesses where people nearly crap themselves at the idea of someone else in the area getting into the profession. Pizzerias don't care when other pizzerias open, and delis don't care when another deli opens.

But, god forbid another repair store open up half a mile away. This comes from a deep rooted insecurity in one's ability to succeed, which is why I often refer to this as the "profession" people go to when they have failed at everything else.
