What a CRAZY week it was! A B9 Audi S5 Sportback is such a wonderful car, especially in Quantum Grey. 3.0, Turbocharged V6, All Wheel Drive Quattro, Just a killer time Getting this thing to perfection with Tyler was an EXPERIENCE! Starting off, this car came in really really clean already. This is why I chose to go the route of Optimum no Rinse just because it would save time and give us as much of a clean surface as ever. Obviously, we had to follow up with a clay bar the next day to decontaminate the surface, but it was clean!

Correcting day(s) is where it got interesting because I had to focus on completely correcting up the front of the car first, that way Tyler could come in behind me and apply the PPF in the front. And this PPF was AWESOME. Xpel just released a new kind of PPF that has Ceramic Coating already built into it. So we didn't need to coat the front, it was already done! After all of that mess though, we moved to the rest of the car. For most of the detail, I depended on a Rupes Yellow Medium Wool Pad, matched with some Rupes High Performance Polishing Compound to try and get a perfect one step. Although it didn't get the paint to 100% (obviously), it got it dang close to perfect. I was really surprise at the performance of the combination, but as it stands, I ended up switching back to the Yellow Rupes Foam Pad in order to go a bit lighter due to the Wool just being able to polish so deep.

AS for the Coating, we used Xpel Fusion Plus Ceramic Coating! Because Tyler is an Xpel dealer, obviously we had to utilize Xpel products, which ended up turning out great. Their coating is a bit finicky to work with (the curing process before wiping off), but it looked fantastic. I'm still a Gtechniq lover-boy, but I have to say, I've used a lot of coatings and the Xpel did GREAT. It says its a Premium Ceramic Coating, no doubt that it is for sure!

And to finish it all off, we coated the wheels & exhaust tips with Gyeon Q2 Rim, wiped the surface down with P&S beadmaker, and we were DONE! Man, WHAT an EXPERIENCE!
