City Manager Calls Chief And 5 Cops. ID Refusal. North Miami Beach Police. Florida.

This was on Monday January 3rd 2022 at approximately 12 is the 1231, outside of the North Miami Beach city hall and police department, in North Miami Beach Florida. I was there with Open Government Investigations as we were trying to get a public records of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. This document is something you should be able to get right away and to be photographed and inspected as stated in Florida statute 119. We got to run around for a little bit and was told that they could not get in touch with the financial department and we would have to send an email. As we left and made our way over the police department we were stopped by the city manager Arthur H. Sorey, III.

As always these public officials act like they want to help us but in the meantime they want to get us hemmed up and arrested taking our freedoms away for simply being on or filming public property and the officials that work for us. We told him the documents we were looking for and he said he would get those for us. As soon as he walked away he called the police on us. Thankfully they have a really good police chief that knew alert rights and how to keep his officers in line.
