Flying an DJI FPV Drone While Bored, Near a Construction Site & New Housing Development #DJIFPV

I'm not up to the full acrobatics that you can accomplish with this drone, but I had some fully charged batteries and some free time to spend while waiting for my wife to finish working on a client's computer. I found this area of the subdivision still under construction and pretty much deserted, with what looks like a new hotel being built nearby. On the north side of that hotel, there was a new apartment complex that didn't look to be fully occupied quite yet.

There was a low flying plane circling around the area, pulling a banner for some politician, but it was flying much higher than me and didn't come near the area where I was zipping around. Without going into full manual / acrobatic mode, this drone can still get up to around 65 mph or so in Sport mode. Lots of fun to fly, as long as you have the air space free of obstructions to do it in. There was one set of power lines behind a group of new houses under construction, but I avoided them easily.

Nothing commercial about this flight, it was just for fun. Forgot to turn off my sensors before zipping under that construction lift, so there was a brief pause as the drone decided to drop down to avoid the arm. It would have missed it anyway, but with the obstacle sensors turned on, it automatically slows to allow the pilot to avoid collision. Great feature for beginners like me.

The strange music track was from Epidemic Sound. Not my usual type of music, but it fit my mood while editing this video and the length was right.
