This River Flows Both Ways... River Fishing For Steelhead / Float Fishing Weird Rivers In The World

In this steelhead fishing video we are steelhead fishing in Wisconsin on a river that flows both ways... This is definitely the weirdest river I have ever fished without a doubt. I am sure there are lots of weird rivers in the world but this is the strangest river I have ever fished. Before I realized that this river was prone to change directions I thought it was weird how slow the flow was so I was already out of my element float fishing slow water for steelhead. As it turns out this river is loaded with steelhead and a bunch of big brown trout. This was actually among the most epic days of steelhead fishing Iv'e experienced. I only caught one steelhead myself this day but there was non stop action for hours between a group of about 10 guys and I didn't even get a lot of the fish on camera for this steelhead fishing video. Once I realized what was going on and that the river was changing directions my mind was blown. This was day 3 of our Wisconsin Fishing trip with the bloop beads guys and we had planed on 3 days of brown trout fishing but the water clarity on the Milwaukee River got really bad so day 3 was a plan b scenario. Lucky for us Justin from Bloop Beads hit up his buddy Andrew who is the owner of Railin' 10's Guide Service and he hooked us up with some good bait and showed us a great time steelhead fishing for some Wisconsin chrome!

Slow water float fishing is different from my usual thing when it comes to river fishing for steelhead. Steelhead bobber fishing is a finicky thing and there are plenty of variables that effect how you float fish for steelhead. wether you are float fishing with a baitcaster, center pin or spinning reel the basics of river fishing for steelhead stays the same. River fishing for steelhead has become among my favorite types of fishing and float fishing has become my prefered technique for catching steelhead and many will agree that steelhead bobber downs make hearts pump.

in the first 2 Wisconsin fishing videos we were using nothing but bloop beads but on this river with the slow flow and dirty water spawn bags were the key. The scent of real trout and salmon eggs are what make spawn bag fishing for steelhead so effective as where beads tend to play more on subtle presentations and are crazy effective on big water or clear water.
