US will work with allies to transfer Soviet-made tanks to Ukraine: Report

WASHINGTON: According to the New York Times, which cited a US official, the US will cooperate with partners to deploy Soviet-made tanks to Ukraine to reinforce its defenses in the Donbas region.
According to the Times, the unnamed official stated that the transfers, which were ordered by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, will begin soon. According to the newspaper, the official refused to reveal how many tanks would be delivered or from which nations they would arrive.
