TONE PRIEST SHORTS! - EPISODE 1: 1985? AMPEG V3SC

Today the Tone Priest fires up his newly acquired circa 1985 Ampeg V3 SC for the first time. It arrived in unknown working condition. After a quick wipe with the Simple Green and plunking in seven vacuum tubes, it appears to have some life left in it.

This amp is thought to be Ampeg's clone of a Marshall JCM 800. After a quick ditty, the Tone Priest agrees. The Japanese sure know how to build a guitar amplifier! For those about to rock, this amp salutes you.

This and all Tone Priest videos are for edu-tainment purposes only. Guitar amplifiers can have lethal voltages in excess of 700 volts. Capacitors can retain a deadly charge even when an amplifier is turned off and unplugged. Videos are not instructional nor do they advocate anyone doing any kind of repairs on their gear. Nobody should do electrical work on anything for any reason ever. Keep your hands and belongings inside the car at all times.
