Off the Treks - Star Trek 55th Anniversary - What Did ViacomCBS Do? - Shatner Speaks

It's the 55th anniversary of Star Trek. The official event seemed less like a celebration of the history of the franchise than a long commercial for the poor productions they currently produce. They brought out George Takei, LeVar Burton, Jeri Ryan, Kate Mulgrew, Wil Wheaton, and others. They talked about Discovery (STD), Picard, Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks, & Prodigy...all NuTrek productions from the chief architect of the destruction of Star Trek: Alex Kurtzman.

Also, Shatner has made recent comments that he may consider a return to Trek if invited.
