Marajo Island, Pará, BRAZIL

The largest fluvial-maritime archipelago on the planet, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and the Amazon and Tocantins rivers, Marajó Island, in Pará, has the largest herd of buffalo in the country. Here they are seen in both rural and urban areas – farms organize rides on which you ride the animals, sources of meat and cheese (for sale at local restaurants).
