Check out the itinerary I put together from this trip! Route details, resources I used to plan the trip, campsite and water source descriptions, elevation profiles, and MORE all in one neatly organized PDF. (While it isn’t a substitute for doing your own research and preparation, hopefully it will take the guess work out of planning your own trip.) seagrasstosassafras.com/product-page/gorgesstatepark

Barrett and I made a three day loop through Gorges State Park. Starting at Frozen Creek access we followed Auger Hole trail to the Foothills Trail counter clockwise to Lake Jocassee. This trip was chock full of firsts for Barrett, first time on an overnight trip, first time doing water crossings. He did a great job, and I couldn't be prouder of him.
The second half of our adventure is coming soon!

I had so much fun with the Bluegrass theme of the Art Loeb trip that I decided to go with a Jazz and Blues theme this time around. No trail journal and playlist for this one. Sorry! I think if I did do a playlist though, it would just be George Thorogood's greatest hits with "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" tossed in there three or four times. Such a ridiculous song; makes me laugh every time!

Music featured in this video: "I Knew A Guy" by Kevin MacLeod, "Stevie" by Michael Ramir C., and "Riverse" by Cullah
