A collection of 3 songs recorded in the early 2000s by my friend, Steve Scheer.
I wrote this a few weeks after he committed suicide:
He put the gun up to his head
Pulled the trigger
Now he's dead
He's bleedin' in the parking lot
He's leavin' and you can't stop the blood from leakin' out his dome
His mom is freakin' out at home
She's all alone and wonders why her baby boy just had to die
A teardrop falls from her eye as she tries not to cry
And keeps telling herself that it's just a lie
And ever since that night she lives her life in denial
That he'll be coming through the door with a big smile on his face
And say "surprise! It was all a big joke!"
Cuz her mind is fucked up and her heart has been broke
It's a shame when parents have to bury their kids
But life still goes on and that's the way it is
