Many fans, probably overly optimistic but possibly deluded, had high hopes that Strange New Worlds would be the Star Trek they needed. The recent footage and revelations of details about the new series have dashed any hopes they could have had. Alex Kurtzman and ViacomCBS will not produce good Trek.
