If some subtle desires remain in seed form when the meditator goes into samadhi extraordinary powers will arise.

When one comes down from samadhi, you are supposed to reject the powers, they are worldly they are false they and they will only pull you back into samsara, "I only want God realization."

Patanjali then dedicates a whole chapter to the powers.
But if you are seeking God realization, you will reject these powers, and keep seeking only the luminous God self.
He is clear, to make your own choice, and chapter 3 is dedicated to obtaining the siddhis
