The Government of El Salvador recently made a historic move by declaring Bitcoin as legal tender, but the implementation of this new monetary network on the nation-state level hasn’t come without its fair share of obstacles. Alex Gladstein, Chief Strategy Officer of the Human Rights Foundation, recently wrote an outstanding piece called “The Village and The Strongman” detailing the state of Bitcoin in El Salvador and he joined a Twitter spaces hosted by CK (@ck_SNARKs) of Bitcoin Magazine to discuss exactly what’s been going down.
